A DYING NATION Part II

In order to make the Rose v Wade ruling, the justices had to ignore the fundamentals of their sworn duty, which was and is the protection of the rights as outlined in the Constitution. In regard to the limited powers of government listed in Article I, Section 8, those are for Congress and Congress only and limit the creation of legislation to that branch. Not only did the Supreme Court legislate in the ruling by creating a law that is phony since they can’t create laws, they overrode the rights of the people and the states set forth in the 9th and 10th Amendments. The State of Texas had the right and still does, as do the other states, to safeguard the lives of the unborn no matter what the Supreme Court decreed.

The Court, and those who disagree with the foregoing, should go back and study the reverence for life seen in the writings of the founders. The words endowed by their Creator … life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness should again leave no doubt that God is the origin of life and no one has the right to take it away except as is permissible due to criminal acts (Romans 13). God breathed into man the breath of life (Genesis 2:7) and in so doing that God given life is created each time a sperm and an egg  unite. Only the most foolish believe that a new life form doesn’t begin at that moment.

Liberty is one of the blessings of life. Liberty isn’t without restraint though that became the mantra of the unrestrained 60s. The founders knew that morals must restrain behavior, not the government, such as the King implemented on the colonies. Human beings only possess true liberty when they follow God’s principles and that liberty is directly linked to the pursuit of happiness. One has the right to pursue happiness but government can’t guarantee that it will be found. Yet, abortion was and is supposed to bring happiness, when in fact the research shows it produces nothing but misery and unhappiness.

In the Preamble of the Constitution, the word posterity is found and it means the unborn. The oath of office taken by each respective justice of the Supreme Court requires that each of them follow the Constitution as written, not as they wish it had been written. With the Roe v Wade decision they sentenced to death millions of the unborn, depriving them of life, liberty, and the right to pursue happiness, the same blessings from God that Blackmun enjoyed, along with those on the court at that time, and those who now sit in judgment of the laws in this day and age.

A nation that kills its unborn is a nation that is headed for disaster. A nation is much like a family that doesn’t have male children for a period of years. When there are no male children to carry the family name on through the generations, the family and the name disappear. Though children will be born to the female children, the original family name will have disappeared and the daughters and their children will have a new name, bringing a new identity to the individuals. The disaster for the family is the loss of the name, but for a nation, the national identity changes from one of a nation that reveres life to one that puts pleasure and immorality ahead of decency. We have now entered the period when life is not revered and the behavior of many members of society shows that to be true. Unrestrained behavior is another sign of a dying nation.
