A DYING NATION Part IV |
|
Since 1973, it is estimated that close to 50 million babies have been killed by abortion. That is fifty million lives that never had the opportunity to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, mainly because men and women didn’t act properly in the beginning, and then later refused to exercise responsibility and accept the consequences for their conduct. It goes without saying that if Obama has his way, irresponsibility will continue and someday it will be enshrined in federal law. Proverbs 14:34 says Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. The word nation means any other people (Gentiles), not necessarily the Hebrews, but here it does. But since it can mean any people, we can apply the principal to the United States. Righteousness is a requirement of God and the founders surely knew that, which the people of today are ignoring, especially men like Obama and many others. In the early years of this nation, abortion was a foreign idea, and only when unrestrained sin began to be a regular part of human behavior, did it become acceptable as it is today. As people began to follow the lust of the flesh, the spiritual part of life (meaning tuned to God’s way) began to die. With a loss of the spiritual part of life restraining the conscience, the anything goes mentality took hold and is still holding sway. Immorality is supplanting morality at a greater pace than ever. Abortion is leading to the physical death of the nation. How is that possible you may ask? Consider the fact that nature abhors a vacuum, which will be explained shortly. The 50 million aborted babies would be filling jobs and contributing to society. Going back to 1973 means that the oldest would be 35 years old and they would more than likely have grand children who would be at least 17 years old. Not only has abortion killed the prospective parents, it has eliminated not only their posterity, but that of the nation’s as well. That is where the vacuum and the physical death arrives. The only way for any nation to remain prosperous is to have citizens that contribute to the well being of the national fabric. Abortion has torn that well being and the fabric away by creating a vacuum (a depletion of people) that has to be filled. What has and is filling the vacuum in the work force that has been created by abortion. It not only is immoral to kill the unborn, it is equally immoral to create a threat to the nation’s legal citizens by allowing unchecked illegal aliens into the nation who are filling the job vacuum. These are the people who are demanding rights of all kinds, medical services, and other perks that citizens have to pay for because the federal government says we must do so. Due to the policies of the politicians having passed the laws, citizens in many areas are watching their hospitals close; they are subjected to crimes at the hands of the invaders, some so vile that they defy the imagination. The idea of amnesty doesn’t help the situation either. Why assimilate per the immigration laws when the government wants to reward the illegal presence in the nation? The mantra is we need the workers. We would have had legal workers had not abortion killed the future employees beginning in 1973. We are supposed to be a nation of laws, all of which are to conform to the Constitution and the respective state constitutions. Yet, we have left the standard and embarked on a course that rewards irresponsibility, law violators and interest groups, all to the detriment to the physical health of the nation. History tells us that Roman Empire disappeared because of immorality and a decadent life style given to the worldly debased pleasures. If we continue, how can we avoid the pitfalls of sin? A return to God’s righteousness is the answer. There is no other solution. © 06-13-2008 DEC This is the last article for Sorting It Out |
