It’s undeniable that abortion has killed 43 million humans in the United
States. Many of those aborted in 1973 would have become workers
full-time or part-time in 1989 to 1991, ages ranging 16 to 18 years old.
They would be filling the need created by the millions of babies born in
that period. Not only would they be workers, many would be parents as
well, with their children in need of goods and services. In effect, we
are killing our economic vitality with immoral abortion one child at a
time.

It is estimated that Social Security will be bankrupt in the year 2020
due to more benefits being paid out than the amount being paid into the
fund. The main reason is that there will be more retired people than
there are workers paying into the system. The possible solution to the
problem which the politicians will propose isn’t good either. Most
likely, they will want to raise payroll taxes and that will mean fewer
workers will be paying more which they can’t afford. And businesses will
be saddled with the higher rates too. It is vicious circle with one
group feeding off another with no end in sight, since the population
will age faster than the ability of the younger to support the older
ones and themselves and families, all at the same time. It is a
government run ponzi scheme at best, and if such a scheme was run by a
shyster, it would land him in jail.

In 1940, the number of workers to every recipient was a ratio of 159.4
to 1. Steadily over the years, the ratio has lessened and now the number
is 3.4 workers for every one recipient (Numbers taken from
http://www.ssa.gov/history/ratios.html ). Some of the decrease in
the ratio is due to more people being covered before 1973, rather than a
decline in the birth rate. Yet, it is obvious from studying the chart
that there is a decrease in the ratio of workers to beneficiaries that
can’t be attributed to adding people to the coverage. The number of
workers barely kept up with the number retiring. Abortion has helped
keep the ratio low along with the other factors. (See chart for yearly
abortions
http://www.nrlc.org/abortion/aboramt.html)

Eventually something has to give or the Social Security retirement
program will fail because there aren’t enough workers paying in to
support the beneficiaries. A declining birth rate due to natural causes
is one thing, but the planned killing of the unborn is quite another;
and given the type social programs in existence that rely on taking from
the “rich” to give to the poor, in addition to the load placed on the
existing taxpayers by social security, abortion only increases the
problem across the board and increases the need for more ill advised,
economy destroying taxation.
|
|
The current national shame of abortion can’t continue and keep the
nation strong, morally, socially, and economically. Humans are doing
that which the lesser animals don’t do, with such animals being
routinely referred to as dumb. (Who are the dumb ones, humans or
animals, is a proper question.) The tragedy is many fold but the two
worst parts are that people are the highest animal form and two, are
capable of controlling their impulses that bring on the excuse that an
abortion is the solution to the conduct.

|
If those who are having abortions now would stop and think, they would
realize that they are destroying their own retirement when it comes time
for them to draw Social Security. The aborted children would be paying
into the system to help provide their benefits. The children would be
increasing employment opportunities since they would require goods and
services, but since their mothers had them killed, their abortion is
taking away employment opportunities. Not to mention the loss of income
taxes that the aborted would pay.
|
|
Abortion continues to put a premium on solving some of the problems
caused by immorality by killing the defenseless. It just doesn’t kill
one child; it kills the offspring that child can never have and all
subsequent descendents (posterity); abortion kills economic opportunity
for individuals and as such helps retard the economic growth of the
nation. Most assuredly, abortion is killing the posterity that the
founders gave their lives and fortunes to protect, which is our unborn
and us. And in the process, we are killing the future of our nation one
baby at a time, morally and economically.
|
|
The reader should be able to make a connection between the immorality of
abortion and the problems the nation faces in areas of employment and
tax issues, to name only two. Not only those are involved in the well
being of the nation; there is a continuing attempt to devalue human life
at all levels which is a direct result of the abortion mentality. If a
human is not convenient or not useful, then death is warranted for those
people.
|
|
In Sorting It Out, if the destruction of the unborn continues, this
nation will become no better than the third world heathen nations whose
people engage in all sorts of heinous practices. We are well on the way
to that end.
