ANGRY AT GOD

If you have any doubts that those who are homosexual have an anger that borders on dementia with vitriol toward all things created by our holy God, a letter to www.WorldNetDaily.com   removes all doubt. The tone and hatred in the letter suggests that the man’s conscience is agitating him greatly, though it is doubtful that he would admit it since he doesn’t want to confront his sin. (Read the letter.) The writer of that letter is so filled with hate for the truth that he would deny the right of freedom of speech to others. The rulers of Rome and the Jews attempted to deny the truth and to keep the gospel from being proclaimed. Mark records in16:15- 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. The homosexual who wrote the letter objected to literature being offered to him at a parade to celebrate homosexuals. But the Constitution protects free speech everywhere and most particularly, religious speech. He didn’t want to hear that he is a sinner. He wants to be free of any troubling of his conscience. He wants to be at peace.

When Jesus was asked a question about being in bondage, John recorded in chapter 8:34: Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. The word committeth means to habitually perform and practice and to pursue a course of action. Homosexual conduct is a behavior that is habitually and deliberately performed; and Jesus says that those who do as the word is defined are servants of the sin and in the case under discussion, it is homosexual sin. It isn’t any wonder the young man is irate at Jesus.

The man is as Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. The man leaves no doubt that he gains pleasure from his unrighteousness and cares nothing for salvation. His freedom to engage in perverted conduct is worth more to him than repentance and eternal life.

Apparently the word of God has pricked the man’s conscience in spite of his unbelief in God, and it has caused him to see what he doesn’t want to see. The writer of Hebrews speaking to unbelief wrote: 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. (Hebrews 4:12-13) Can it be said that the man is aware that his thoughts and intents have been laid bare and he doesn’t like what he knows God sees?

The man wants peace but in his present state of mind and conduct he will never find it. In line with the verses from Hebrews, Jesus spoke years before: Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. (Matthew 10:34) Rejecting Jesus and silencing those who teach the gospel won’t bring the man any peace. Jesus said of his mission on earth: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27) Paul told the Philippians to ask God for all they needed: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7) The homosexual man should stop being angry at God for telling him the truth and turn his life over to Christ. He will then find the peace he desires and is so desperately seeking.
