The seasons of the year change, but politicians of the socialist mind
set never change or go away. Such is the “I wanna be your President”
John Edwards, who has a plan for everything designed to solve our ills;
one of which is the non-existent health care problem that liberal
Democrats continue to preach. He also wants to end poverty and restore
the United States to leadership in the world. Sadly, the dependent on
government crowd and the brain dead dupes will believe him.
|
|
In 1965, Lyndon Johnson began the war on poverty. After nearly 52 years,
all the government has done is create a population which more and more
looks to government to solve their problems; squandered billions upon
billions of tax dollars; and claim that not enough money has been
expended to solve the problems which the government has created.

|
Edwards says he will make sure everyone has affordable, accessible
health care and to pay for it, he will tax the wealthy, those horrible
creatures who earn above 200,000 dollars each year. He says the Bush tax
cuts must go to pay cost (of his ill advised utopian schemes). (Click

Those who hear him tout his ideas should realize he is socialist, big
government man who likes to shove government rule into the liberty we
enjoy. He says that business must provide health care for their
employees and if they don’t, they will have to pay into a government run
program. How is that any different than the tyranny that dictators apply
to the citizens of their nation? Mr. Edwards needs to remember that
there wasn’t a health insurance or health care cost problem until LBJ
imposed Medicare and its subsequent expansion.
|
|
Instead of imposing more government and more taxes, why doesn’t Edwards
try reducing taxes on all businesses, if not a total elimination of
business taxes and reduce taxes on individuals? A change in the tax
system would help facilitate the return of health care to a free market
unhampered by government interference. When taxes on businesses are
eliminated, the insurance companies which write health care coverage
would be forced to lower premium costs due to competition. Over a period
of time, cost at all levels of the health care system would fall simply
due to freeing up business to operate unhampered by government. Along
with all of that, encourage people to buy insurance if they so choose
instead of forcing them to do so.
|
|
Edwards and his liberal friend won’t entertain such ideas because that
would return the responsibility for the individual to each individual
and would eliminate the need for government poobahs like Edwards. That
doesn’t fit the agenda of the liberal elitist minds who believe that
mere the “Little People” are incapable of taking care of their own
business without government help.
|
|
What has been proposed above isn’t radical or new. In fact, the system
worked well before LBJ decided to eradicate poverty by taking from the
haves and giving to the have nots, the pure doctrine of Marx and
Lenin called Communism. That we don’t need, and Edwards must be called
to account for his socialist/communist economy busting ideas.
|
|
Those who swallow his line don’t understand the role of government, and
must understand that it is as wrong for the government to take unjustly
as it is for a thief to steal property of another. Theft of economic
property is exactly what Edwards proposes to feed his insatiable
appetite for big government.
|
|
In Sorting It Out, John Edwards is nothing but another arrogant
socialist who needs to be sent packing.
