|
At times in life events happen that can be called unbelievable. However, the content of the letter to Voices, 2-22-2008, from a Conway writer, is very believable due to the blind support people give to the Clintons. There isn’t any hope for some people, even when Obama says he is their hope. Come to think of it, he isn’t any hope either so the writer and those who support Obama remain hopeless. He wrote that Bill Clinton had done a lot to benefit the black people. The writer should tell us what great benefits Clinton has awarded the blacks rather than giving us blather with no facts cited of how he has benefited them. Clinton set up his office in Harlem. It was supposed to have been an economic boon for that area. He was the hope for them. Did it happen? No, no no no it didn’t. The Secret Service blocked off parking spaces that were formerly used. The rent for office and business spaces went up as a result of Clinton being there. When he was actually there, pedestrian traffic and auto traffic was curtailed. He used means to enter the building that allowed him to avoid the people he was supposed to be helping. When he said the reason Obama won in South Carolina was because of being black, the implication was that the only reason he won was his blackness and not his intelligence, which the Clintons have challenged repeatedly, though his intelligence is suspect to a very high degree. Implied also is that if he had been white, Hillary would have beaten him like a stick smashing a rattlesnake. Since Billy was the nation’s first black President, could it be said that Hillary isn’t black enough? The man throws the race card around and writes of prejudice against Obama due to his skin color, which will make it impossible for him to win. Could it be that people will begin to see through the empty suit, the empty head and the empty speeches? If they don’t, may God help our nation and us if he is elected! At the end, he makes a statement similar to that of Bill being a benefit to the black people. He said, (quote) Hillary has proved her ability to lead the nation in the most critical time this country has faced since the Civil War (unquote). Pray tell what ability has Hillary shown for leadership? She led a health care initiative, which thankfully failed. She has mismanaged her campaign to the tune of millions of dollars and is now in debt, spending money on all kinds of luxuries causing her to lend to the campaign five million dollars of her own resources. Her supporters are complaining about how miserably she handled the campaign by wasting money on grandiose items. If the way she has handled the campaign is any indication, then the nation is in for a rough ride if she spends our tax dollars as she has the campaign money. After all, until she loaned her money to the campaign, it wasn’t her money; it was the donor’s money and it became hers. Accountability for the expenses was none of their business. And those who think she will be accountable if she is in the Oval Office, will be allowing Hillarymania to blind them to the truth. The words of Forrest Gump can be changed to “Hillary’s mismanagement is as her mismanagement goes.” The smartest woman in the world can’t run her campaign and people expect her to run the United States with great leadership. Forrest Gump said it right, “Stupid is as stupid does.” The words of Forrest apply to a lot of people and when Hillary is the focus of their attention receiving accolades, their blindness is quite believable. May we be spared both Hillary and B. Hussein Obama! We do not need either his change or her mismanagement at the helm of our nation. © 02-22-2008 DEC |
