It is said Nero fiddled
while Rome burned and it is
reported in the news that in our land three unconscionable U.S.
Senators played the grossest of partisan politics with the life of Terri
Schiavo. The Senators are Diane Feinstein of California, Harry Reid of
Nevada, and Charles Schumer of New York. Reportedly, they used her as a
hostage to try to overcome the defeats on the ANWR, Bankruptcy, and the
filibuster situation in the Senate concerning judicial nominees. They
are no better than the thugs who take people hostage and then demand
concessions for their release.
Three others helped block the legislation too: Senator (Barbara)
Boxer (D-Calif.), Senator (Ron) Wyden (D-Ore.) and Senator (Carl) Levin
(D-Mich.) What kind of humans are these that would use such deplorable,
no despicable is the word, tactics to force their agenda onto the
public.

|
When the Democrats were
chastised about their refusal to step forward after “Chuckie” Schumer
had indicated he was on the side of the Schindler family, Harry Reid in
typical liberal “don’t blame us fashion” said, "If the House Republicans
refuse to pass our bipartisan bill, they bear responsibility for the
consequences." It must be said that the definition of bipartisan for the
liberals is “do it our way or we won’t play ball” no matter how
important the issue may be. Liberals are like a bunch of spoiled brats
who constantly want their way and who always blame others for their
problems. The truth is politics takes precedent with those so called
public servants, even in life and death matters of the innocent.

The State of Florida and
its laws are subject to the United Sates Constitution in two distinct
areas among others. One is Article VI, Section 3, and the other is the
Fourteenth Amendment. It would be good if someone explained how Judge
George Greer in his rulings can give the words of people, who have an
interest in Mrs. Schiavo being dead and his reported flouting of Florida
law, more force than the United States Constitution. The Constitution in
this nation and its attendant laws are designed to protect innocent
life, except for the ruling on abortion which is the travesty of our
time.
|
|
Prevailing wisdom, which
is erroneous, says that courts are answerable to no one and can do as
they please. Greer said that other agencies have no right to interfere
with the business of the court. (Is he and his rulings laws unto
himself? How dare you challenge the god of my court, me, appears to be
his attitude.) That is patently wrong and an understanding of the
Constitution should dispel that notion to all but the most hard headed.
Article I, Section 8, clause 9, gives Congress the power to establish
inferior courts. Just as Article III, Section2, clause 2, gives Congress
the power to limit the Supreme Court in issues that aren’t expressly
given to them by Constitutional fiat, Congress has the right to tell the
inferior courts what cases they can and can’t hear. For those who want
to argue, they need to read Article I, Section 8, clause 18 which gives
to Congress the power to makes such laws that are necessary to carry out
the powers that are Constitutionally given to Congress and for the
applicable departments that Congress may create under the powers given
thereof.

George Felos, the
attorney for Michael, whines that politics is interfering with her wish
to die; her wish being what her husband says she said. The duty of the
government is to protect the innocent as stated above which Felos has
ignored in his zeal to allow Terri to die. The complaint about politics
is a hollow argument given the politics of the first three disreputable
Senators who tried to use politics to partisan advantage.
|
|
Killing an innocent
person is bad enough and is as despicable and shameful as any act can
be, but the conduct of the six Senators who swore to uphold the
Constitution is beyond shame. It is in the realm of criminal extortion
and should be dealt with accordingly.

|
Note: Since this
article was written, the bill has been passed and signed over the
objections of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fl., Jim Davis, D-Fl.,
Craig Moran, D-Va., and Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass. who wanted her to
starve. Click
here or
below for the article to read about the
persistent vegetative state of the brain dead liberal Democrats. Also
the federal judge assigned to the case ruled on or about 3-21-05 that
Terri's feeding tube could not be reinserted. The culture of death, now
promoted by an order of a federal court, marches on. Who will be the
next Terri Schiavo?
