BRING ME SOME BAMBOO!

I love roaming the forests -
For me this is the thing to do,
I look around my surroundings
To find some delicious bamboo.

Aha!   I spotted some, so will
Meander to where it grows,
Now I can reach up and look -
Even stand on my tippy toes.

Gently I pull a luscious branch -
My pickings are special you see,
Then I sit down to enjoy my meal
Of lush green bamboo for free!

A gentle nibble I slowly take
And find a delightful taste,
I eat slowly; no hurry so
Not a bite will go to waste.

Being a panda is a slow
And happy life up high,
The altitude is in big numbers
Bringing me closer to the sky.

So now I will continue to
Take my morning walk,
You would know what I'm
Thinking if only I could talk.

I have black eyes and ears
My fur is so soft and white,
You can see me in the moonlight
I would show up in the night.

A big panda can be fun-
I'm retired now in a zoo,
"You come to see me, you hear?

BRING ME SOME BAMBOO!"
