BUD AND "HIS" GRAPEVINE

This is an exciting time
When grapevines begin to grow,
When leaves are so pretty and
The little grapes begin to show.

The training becomes easy as
Each stem develops  feelers,
They climb along the fence top
Becoming the clinging weavers.

Each day as the grapes get big -
Bud keeps his eye on a cluster,
He watches the delicious morsels
That he can easily muster.

The grapes became bountiful;
Round and very juicy too,
Then Bud took possession
I just wait now, wouldn't you?

It was fun to watch what I thought -
Was a plant that once was mine,
Entangled in it's clutches you see:

 BUD AND "HIS" GRAPEVINE!
