Cell Phones

The invention of the cell phone has changed our lives.
Apparently, we must be talking to someone at all
times and in all places. True, they are very handy
to have with you for an important call or during an
emergency, but I'm beginning to think we might as
well use Velcro to attach it our hand. Young people,
especially, carry their cell phones like men hang
onto the television remote control. It rarely gets
put down. Each owner seems to be making a phone call
or waiting on a phone call every second. You hear people
talking on them while they walk, in grocery stores,
restaurants, airports, hospitals, and even in public
bathrooms. Unfortunately, there seems to be a popular
use of them by drivers of cars. Wonder how past
generations survived without a cell phone in their
hand, in their purse, or in their backpacks?
