It is wise to watch what you say because the words can quickly come back to haunt you when you don’t expect it. The writer of the letter, which appeared 3-18-2008, wrote, “Anyone who is truly a believer in God will know that one of God’s greatest gifts to humanity is common-sense intelligence,” and then proceeded to shred himself or herself of what little sense they thought they possessed.

The letter writer typed, This Republican administration and those Republicans in Congress are so unorganized, self-absorbed in their hunger for power, they are oblivious to what the Constitution truly states. At this point, the common-sense intelligence of the writer went to outer space with that grand pronouncement. Let’s change the words a bit to arrive at the truth by applying common sense. The Democrats in Congress are so unorganized, self-absorbed in their hunger for power, they are oblivious to what the Constitution truly states. The writer said that the Constitution has been shredded. Who began the shredding of the Constitution? None other than the great socialist, FDR is the answer. Who has perpetuated the Great Society programs of LBJ? No one but the liberals in Congress who have never seen a socialist program that wasn’t to their liking, except when it didn’t have funding levels they desired.

The writer thinks the reason the Muslims want to destroy us is because of the foreign policies toward the Middle East. If the writer knew just a bit of history, she would know that the adherents of Islam are equal opportunity destroyers of any system that stands in their way of conquest. If Muslims dance in the street because of a Democratic administration, it will be due to the appeasement attitude of the liberals. They have never seen a fight from which they wouldn’t run if it weren’t politically expedient for their ideology to stay in the battle.

Liberals are fond of rewriting history. From that letter, we learn that the Reagan Revolution drove the nation into recession and tripled the deficit and that woman claims to have common sense. Well, if she does, it is the liberal style. Does she not remember Jimmy “malaise” Carter with his 14% interest rate and 21% inflation? Oh no, that would take too much common sense to understand that fact of history, not to mention the economic expansion that Reagan’s policies ushered in which helped all who wanted to work. It is true the deficit went up because the Democrats spent every penny plus of the swelling tax coffers that came when Reagan hammered through a reduction in the income tax levy. In retrospect, Reagan had more common sense than all the liberals put together when the facts are examined closely.

Those who want limited government, which means limited spending, which means minimal interference in our lives make the writer want to regurgitate. She thinks that any limits on government handouts, defense of the nation, and other issues are a sign of a cold and uncaring heart. Pardon me, but that false notion coming from her makes me want to regurgitate.

It is readily apparent that liberals love to rewrite history as was stated, and then call it common sense when they compare their lies to the truth. While God gave everyone the ability to choose and exercise common sense, the natural tendency of most liberal Democrats is to exhibit extreme stupidity. That isn’t a gift from God, but rather the choice they make due to no common sense ability to face the truth and tell the truth. That is a fact learned from a continuous study of liberal behavior using common sense.
