Part
II

In the previous lesson the ranting of the cleric concerning Christ’s
mission on earth was compared to the scriptures. This lesson will
contain a further examination of the lie that the cleric is spewing. His
words are lies since the scriptures state that anyone who speaks as he
does is a liar and the truth is not in him (I John 2:4).
|
|
First, in order for the cleric to believe as he says he believes, he has
to discount the disobedience in the Garden. That is the beginning of the sin
and if that didn’t happen then there wasn’t any sin. If Adam’s and Eve’s
actions in the Garden never occurred, then what is the origin of sin?
Paul wrote in Romans 5:12: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered
into the world, and death by sin;
The cleric said the idea of
penal substitution is an insane claim taught by Christian theology.

|
Again the man is very wrong. Now we find the words of Paul Romans 5:15
and 19: But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if
through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and
the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto
many. 19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by
the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. (Also see
verses 16-21 and Chapter 6:1-23). Apparently he doesn’t believe Paul’s
words in Romans any more than he understands the words righteous or
righteousness.

His idea of the death of Christ is more than foolish when he says that
Christ died so he would know our suffering in this world. The cleric has
it backwards. Christ died to reconcile man to God, not God to man and
the statement that the death wasn’t for sins of mankind is utterly
ludicrous. The words of Paul in Ephesians 2:16-18: And that he
might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the
enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar
off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access
by one Spirit unto the Father. What was that enmity? It was and
is the sin that began in the Garden and caused the ability to sin to be given to all of us by the man
Adam. Both Jew and Gentile alike have access to God by virtue of the
death and resurrection of Christ, and through the Holy Spirit, both are
called children of God: 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with
our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then
heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we
suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. (Romans
8:16-17) Verse 18 also gives lie to the cleric’s idea that Christ’s
death was because he wanted to know our suffering. Verse 17 tells us
otherwise that we must suffer with him.

|
Next, the Bible points out the man’s gross perversion of the death of
Christ. Ephesians 1:4-6 tells us: According as he hath chosen us
in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and
without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the
adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good
pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein
he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Before the world was
formed, God purposed to make us blameless in sight through Jesus Christ.
He accepts us in Christ and Christ only. Mr. Cleric, how can God accept
you in your state of denial and blasphemous statements?
|
|
Peter wrote the following in testimony to Christ: 20 Who verily
was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in
these last times for you, 22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in
obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the
brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: 23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the
word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 21 Who by him do believe
in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your
faith and hope might be in God. (1 Peter 1:20-23)
|
|
Mr. Cleric, Christians aren’t insane and you need to repent or you will
be devoured by the flames of torment.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye
cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
(Matthew 25:41) Heed the Word of God as written by Peter: The Lord
is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is
longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that
all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) That includes you
too, Mr. Cleric.
