Declining Traditions

How did we get to the point where the government tells us we can no longer have organizations and clubs that are only of one sex? Is it that "discrimination" reasoning again? Service Clubs such as Rotary, Exchange, Kiwanis, Lions, and Jaycees which have always been men’s organizations now must also accept women into membership, even though there were Lionesses and Jayshees Clubs for women as counterbalances. We remember the Webelows and Boy Scouts as organizations for boys with masculine-type activities and events. Their counter-balance was the Brownies and Girl Scouts with activities suited more to girls growing up. This too has changed, not to mention the mandatory homosexual controversy in the mix. The Ladies Homemakers Clubs and Garden Clubs also must now allow men to join their groups. Golf Clubs and other Private Clubs must now admit ladies, or shut down, though all municipal and hometown courses are open to all for playing and membership. Will the guys meeting for breakfast or just ladies meeting for lunch be outlawed next? We keep losing more and more of the freedoms of this Nation's long-standing traditions and activities.
