Dementia: A condition of the brain that causes
the loss and or impairment of mental powers. In other words, those
so afflicted can’t use logic or reason to make sense of ordinary
activities. When the political landscape is surveyed, it is obvious that
a lot of people from politicians to ordinary citizens are afflicted with
the ailment, both Republicans and Democrats.
|
|
The national political scene is a good place to
begin since the afflicted in that category holds sway over the afflicted
sycophants. Barack Obama told the nation’s drivers to air up their tires
to save oodles and gobs of gasoline. He said that it would produce more
energy than all the drilling proposed by those not afflicted in the
wonderful world of political dementia. With that bit of advice, it would
be logical to invest in tire gauge companies since their stock is going
to rise to airy heights. Also, he said you can’t eat what you want
because the rest of the world won’t like it.

|
Then the Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger,
arrived on the scene, a man who terminated his common sense some time
ago. He chimed in with Obama on the tire air deal and went one step
farther. His advice: avoid jack-rabbit starts. With the congested,
bumper to bumper traffic in California, any start would be welcome, even
a turtle paced start.

Nancy Pelosi said that the plan to drill in
protected and environmentally sensitive areas is a hoax. Is it that the
critters which live there haven’t given their approval? It’s beyond good
that the Pelosi type crowd wasn’t around when the nation’s settlers
began their trek westward. It is mind boggling to contemplate the number
of permits that the EPA would have required. Chopping down trees would
have been a big no-no. Considering the debacle that is now known as
California, westward expansion should have stopped at that state line or
maybe all the state lines.

It is obvious that Maxine Waters, Harry Reid and
many more don’t understand anything but government power. Reid said
mandating mercury filled bulbs was a proper function of their lofty
position. It is if you ignore the Constitution’s limits on government.
It would make one think that Reid and company are suffering from more
than dementia. That affliction is very close to a demigod and
demagoguery. In their minds, they aren’t lesser gods (the very idea that
they aren’t top gods is unthinkable) and as such, their duty is to
appeal to the emotion of the masses and reign in the ignorant who have
the audacity to believe that they are at liberty to conduct their own
lives.

|
Low taxes are another matter that the dementia
laden crowd can’t grasp. Even John McCain has been so confused with the
affliction that he didn’t think tax cuts were wise and was later for
them. Polls showing disgust for certain ideas is an effective cure for
confusion. Has he been cured? Don’t bet your psychiatrist’s fee on it,
considering that McCain at one time thought about becoming a real, full
time Dementiacrat.

|
Somehow, the push to tax the “rich,” which
includes the oil companies, will produce more revenue for the treasury
and will lower gasoline prices. That is crazy and those who espouse such
ideas are suffering dementia at its worse. They don’t understand that
the more they tax, the less they will receive. But remember, they have
been anointed to make sure that certain ones share their income with
those that have less. They’ll even quote verses from the Bible to prove
that they are following God in the matter of income redistribution.
Right on! As long as it isn’t their income being distributed!!!!!
|
|
It is for certain that Obama’s messiah image is
promoting the dementia virus amongst the masses as well. An ordinary
citizen wrote in a Midwest newspaper, 8-20-2008, the following regarding
Obama: His Christian beliefs are a guide to peace and understanding,
not a club to assault those whose faith traditions are different from
his. The beliefs Obama holds are diametrically opposed to the Bible
as he says there are many paths to salvation when Jesus said he was the
only way. That is only one example of many concerning his lack of
understanding of the Bible.

Dementiacrats are numerous and pose a peril to all
of us who are capable of thinking. But to hear them tell it, normal
people are the fools. In Sorting It Out, if we are fools, may God
multiply us by leaps and bounds.
