July 4^th is the day that is celebrated as Independence Day. However, July 2^nd, 1776, was the day that independence was declared and on July 4th that Declaration of Independence was signed. How far the republic has come from a stalwart individually independent people following the rule of law guided by the Constitution that gives the power for government to the citizens, to a power mad federal government run by political hacks and a man in the White House who considers the Constitution nothing more than a piece of paper that is only a minor impediment to his dictatorial agenda, and which he disregards with utter disdain when it is expedient.   

Lies roll off the tongue of the man in the White House with lightening speed. But he did tell the truth when he made the following two statements: "We live in the greatest country on the face of the earth. Help me to change it,” and "we are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America." Unfortunately, there were millions of willing dupes who have helped him change the face of the republic. Now we know what he wanted to change in the greatest country on earth. In reference to the second statement, he has been very busy changing our republic to a dictatorship wherein he uses executive orders and unconstitutional laws aided and abetted by the United States Supreme Court, not mention the Congress that refuses to stop him.

Edicts have been issued against banks, energy companies, coal companies, automobile manufacturers and any other entities he believes should be controlled. He believes that when he speaks that those to whom he is issuing orders must ask him how high they need to jump. He says one thing and does the opposite. But he does tip off his intentions if one listens carefully. When his duplicity is very apparent, certain segments of the population cheer his chicanery as he plunges on with unconstitutional decrees.

His EPA is busy announcing restrictions on coal fired electricity generating plants. Recall that he said, "So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted." He also said that the price of electricity will necessarily increase. In addition, he said that we can’t heat, cool or eat as much as we want. He meant it and still means every word of it. The EPA is busily doing as he has dictated by issuing more liberty shackling edicts.

With one single law, he and his congressional sycophants are destroying the medical care insurance business. When pronouncing the wonderful health care bill, he lied repeatedly concerning low cost, doctors, and other health matters. People cheered not fully understanding that what he said, all that Congress said and the ruling by the Supreme Court are all unconstitutional. But never mind that; he wanted it and the foolish obliged him.

But as bad as all the business gouging that he is doing, the intrusion into the medical insurance business is ongoing in ways that no one could fathom at the time. The newest ruling and edict delivered by the Department of Health and Human Services discriminates against faithful members of the Roman Catholic Church by effectively barring them from owning and operating health-insurance companies. The reason is that the Catholic owned companies will not dishonor their conscience by offering abortion, abortion pills, sterilization and birth control; companies that want to buy insurance cannot do business with a Catholic company because of the restrictions on coverage. That is fascism at its worse.

 More than once he has said that if Congress won’t act on what he wants he will do it on his own. No matter that the Constitution does not allow such conduct, he acts as if it does and no one does more than whine even if that much opposition takes place. He considers himself the final say on whatever he wants no matter what anyone else says and unfortunately, no one says very much against him. Instead, people cheer for their hero because he helping the down trodden or so they think.

Country after country through history has had dictators and history shows us that such a government does not turn out well. Spying on citizens was the order of the day because freedom loving people are dangerous to dictators. Freedom and liberty disappeared; people were killed with their countries being reduced to tatters. Whether the citizens of the Republic of the United States want to admit it or not, the United States is on the path to destruction at the hands of the nut job. When he said, “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America" he meant it; as such he is changing our republic to a dictatorship right before our eyes. How much longer will the people of the republic allow the fool in the White House and his gang of goons surrounding him continue the destruction of our liberty? Liberty and independence demand that his dictatorship come to an end.
