DUM DE DUM DUM

A very popular radio and TV program years ago had that sound in the theme song. Even though the program is long gone, the sound in that song is still reverberating across the republic from citizens to the one in the highest office of the land. And no matter how often it is pointed out to all those people, they insist on ignoring the false nature of what they believe and propose.

After listening to year after year of a government drum beat that the rich do not pay enough taxes, millions of believers cry out to tax the rich even more. They refuse to believe that spending is the problem while wanting more taxes. Play the song now.

In line with tax the rich more is the idea that more taxes to the government will enable the politicians to expand prosperity to everyone. They honestly believe that those who have more have caused many to have less. They believe that profit isn’t lawful and right though scriptures tell us it is godly to make a profit (James 4:13). Even though what they believe is false, they believe it is true and they refuse to change their thinking. Give that song an encore.

Economic illiteracy isn’t the only problem the republic is facing. There is a considerable lack of common sense which should be called hysteria on the part of those who should know better. Those who should know better are in the field of education --- that is way out in the left field of education to be exact. Students as young as four years old are being suspended for using their imaginations. The offenses were creating a make believe gun, or drawing a gun or chewing a strawberry pastry in such a way it resembled a gun even though that was not the intent. Too bad kids, out you go for being kids. Sing that song loudly for those educators.

Our mentally challenged Vice-Nut Job has become a gun expert. He is giving advice as though he is the resident genius for all things having to do with guns, (for the sensitive types, personal protection devices that make noise). He thinks shotguns are the way to go since they are so much easier to handle. Does the song fit the self proclaimed expert? Yes it does so play it with gusto.

Stop breathing! The Supreme Court, that collection of self acclaimed brilliant scientists, ruled that CO2 is a pollutant and says the EPA can regulate it out of existence. It is out pf control and the ever wise all knowing EPA is going to protect us from this horrible gas. Sing the song but do not  exhale while doing so.

It is easy to believe that a lot of people have never had any education in the manner that our government is supposed to work and that includes politicians, and bureaucrats as well as the not politicians and the not bureaucrats. Actually it is true. Very few have had any real education on the Constitution and the concept of federalism wherein the people and the states have the power. The God deniers and the constitutionally illiterate constantly speak and write of the constitution’s requirement of separation of church and state. Though they cannot point it out,  they insist that it is there, just like the boogey man that is hiding under the bed in the children’s room. Sing that stanza again.

Highly esteemed judges at all levels must be included in the nonsense concerning violations of the Constitution’s First Amendment. It plainly says Congress shall make no law because they are the law making body. When judges rule that a prayer or teaching of the Bible is unconstitutional, often citing the First Amendment or the phantom separation clause, they are showing their constitutional illiteracy. Reading comprehension is very much in need. Play the song several times for them since they should know better. Also, play the song for those who taught them their illiteracy.

According to the United States Department of Justice (no justice?) lawyer Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr. said in a speech at the Georgetown School of law that children have no need and have no right to mothers. That is the argument the government is using in its attempt to have the California no homosexual marriage law wiped from the books. To make it worse, the nut job supports doing away with the law. Play the song as many times as you please for these people who support evil.

It must be recognized that those for whom the song is played are not the only ones for whom the song fits quite nicely. Those in positions of responsibility would not be there if not for the voters who marked the ballot, pulled the lever or punched the touch screen for the office holders and the ones appointed to the bureaucracy. The song must be played for all of those who are often called the uninformed voter. But it is worse than uninformed. They refuse to see anything but a party label and vote accordingly. Sing the song over and over because that mind set is destroying us.
