Sarah Palin, a name synonymous with not just change, but dynamic change
which hasn’t happened since Ronald Reagan vanquished Jimmy Carter in
1980 and swamped Walter Mondale four years later 49 to 1. During the
eight years of Reagan, the nation experienced a rebirth in economics and
national pride. The change based on solid values brought real hope
instead of just words that never identifies what the change will be or
what constitutes hope.

Now let’s go back for a few words which Joseph Farah wrote for his web
site World Net Daily. He has a campaign asking that people not vote for
either McCain or Obama and he also says that four years of Obama
wouldn’t be as disastrous as it would be with McCain. He made a good
argument for his idea but he left out one item, Supreme Court
appointments. We know the kind of people Obama would nominate for the
court. Though we could recover from Obama and his anti-American big
government ideology, his appointments to the court would devil us for
years, and I do mean devil in all of its connotations. As a nation,
recovery from such a debacle might be insurmountable.

Next,
Alan Keyes WND, has taken issue with Sarah Palin, using Bible verses
to support his position. That’s all well and good, but Keyes shows a
lack of understanding of the Bible and the issues involved. He quotes 2
Corinthians 6:14-16 to prove that Sarah shouldn’t have thrown in with
immoral of the nation and misuses the verse in an attempt to prove his
assertion. The verse is speaking to those Christians in Corinth who were
induced to engage in the ways of the world as a matter of daily living,
telling them that as members of the body of Christ not to identify with
the infidels and not to be influenced by them. It has nothing to do with
the placing of oneself under an immoral authority or engaging in
government work.
|
|
Keyes went further with … Christ surrendered to the temporal
authority of the wicked in order to win salvation for the faithful,
whereas she risks spoiling the salvation of the faithful in order to
help those who have abandoned God's authority win temporal authority
over them. To believe what Keyes wrote is to say that being a part
of constitutional government is sinful and is promoting immorality.
Further, Keyes needs to explain how she can spoil the salvation of the
faithful. To believe what Keyes says means that it would be impossible
for a Christian to conduct business of any kind, anywhere at anytime or
be an influence on the government. Jesus said in Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they
may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven,
and he didn’t say that it couldn’t be done by being in
government. Keyes should check with Romans 13:1-4. It should be obvious
to Alan Keyes that the root problem of our nation’s trouble is that of
not having believers working in political office. Would he have infidels
to continue to lead us?
|
|
Yes, Palin has made mistakes but she is not perfect to the same degree
that Keyes isn’t perfect, for all have sinned and come short of
the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) God has used imperfect people to
carry his message ever since he created the world. God guided the men
who founded this nation and he has guided men and women ever since. God
has raised people up to lead our nation in troubled times. God isn’t
through with this nation and he will continue to bring people to the
fore to lead us in this time of need; people who will oppose those such
as Barack Hussein Obama who is spewing evil. Sarah Palin is that one.
She is a woman who has the liberals and the devil followers on the run.
We pray that it continues.

The people want change. In Sorting It Out, God has sent one who promises
dynamic change, change we can believe in and one that renews our hope
for a return to godly ways in a sensible government.
