EASTER
BLESSINGS FOR
YOU
This is the evening before
The big event of spring,
Our covering of all white
Will be the biggest thing.
We'll be dipped in water
And dripped til' we're blue,
All this up and down for
The coming day is due.
Being an Easter egg
Can be fun: "Alright!"
You should see us blush with
Colors that come out bright!
Some of us have spots -
Our excitement to the eyes,
I can hear it when the children
See us come with our surprise!
Being green is kind of fun -
We don't get picked as fast,
As we stay cool with our color
Hope we will get picked last!
We display ourselves in a basket
Of beautiful straw and bright color,
We hope you enjoy us whether you
Are young, old, sister or brother.
As a group of Easter Eggs
We gather together today,
Representing Christians of Jesus
His Resurrection; as we pray.
With all of the dipping, dripping
And fun things we do,
We filled up our baskets with:
