In the previous two lessons, general conduct for believers was presented with a view of God’s way as opposed to the ways of the world. The contrast is very glaring when the present day world situation is looked at from the standard of the word of God. The conclusion has to be that the world is practicing evil due to the ungodly conduct of the unsaved, and tragically, even those who claim to be believers are oft times caught up in Satan’s enticing snare, much of which is being directed at  husbands, wives, and their children.   

Daily, a word barrage reaches our ears with claims that it is wrong to deny homosexuals the right to marry. The conduit for much of the barrage is the school systems of the nation, which by their nature are made to serve as an indoctrination tool at the hands of the wicked minded. Remember, Peter warned the people about Satan; Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (I Peter 5:8) The forces of evil directed by Satan know that the way to a complete takeover of the nation is through the young impressionable children who are being devoured by the lure of sin promoted by the followers of Satan. And who are the forces of evil? They are misguided parents, uncaring parents, world leaders, politicians and the people in the various government agencies at all levels who spout and promote sin on a daily basis.

 Paul told the Corinthians to be alert for emissaries of Satan: 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2Corinthians 11:13-15) The children are being bombarded by radio, TV, movies, music and schools with the idea that homosexual conduct is normal and good. They are told that God, Jesus and the Bible are old fashioned and that those who believe in them are not accepting and accommodating of the beliefs of others. Those who teach such are the false teachers, the angels of light that Paul speaks to in the above verses.

The pathway of indoctrination has always been through education and since the beginning of creation, teaching others has been on going, whether from the mouth of God, the prophets, Jesus, the apostles for good  or the followers of Satan for evil. The proof that education is the dominate force for changing the world, communist dictator Joseph Stalin put it another way in 1934: "Education is a weapon, whose effects depend on who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed." (From article by Olivia St. John March 3, 2008)   Stalin, one of the worst Satan followers of all time knew that the path to bring in communism was indoctrination of the young in the schools.

Mortality is at the very heart of a good life and immorality is the weapon that Satan uses to destroy all that God has given to us. President George Washington, proclaimed, "Religion and morality are the twin pillars of freedom."  Belief in God teaches morality and therein is the foundation of freedom and liberty. Founding Father John Adams warned, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and a religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."  Those who will not follow God, Jesus and the teachings of the Bible will not follow the Constitution, much less be moral in their dealings both publicly and privately.

Humans of the modern age want to direct their own ways independent of God. The founders knew that allegiance to God and the path to salvation for individuals and the future of the nation depended on the words of instruction found in the Bible just as Satan and his followers know the path to destruction is disobedience to God. The writer of Proverbs16:25 penned the following: There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Satan and his followers try to tell you that such a teaching is folly, just as the founders knew that the scriptures are  the path for living as Psalm 119:105 tells us, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

The only way we the people of the Republic of the United States can ensure the future is by returning to the old paths laid out by our loving God who wants us live a godly life though following his ways with the future being ensured by his word of truth.  And that return to God’s path must begin with repentance by adults and the teaching of the children who will become the adults of tomorrow and who are the future of the republic.
