Fiction and Fact from Sam’s Almanac was the name of a segment on
the long gone radio show originating from WLS Chicago, the Don
McNeill’s Breakfast Club, of the 40s and early 50s. Though
long on fiction and short on fact, Sam Cowling’s shtick was always funny
and the audience would hoot and howl at his crazy pronouncements. But
what we are hearing from the “Stick it To Them Pogrom” of the nut job
(a.k.a. Barack Hussein Obama) is neither fact nor funny. It is so short
on facts it is best described as fiction.
|
|
However, there is one fact that is pure fiction and that is that global
warming/climate change mantra is heading us to doomsday. And those who
are using everything but facts are bleating away as if they are in
charge of all things in the universe. As one of the nut job’s henchmen,
Rahm Emanuel, said, “Never let a serious crisis go to waste.” And they
are going full speed to accomplish mayhem with help of the ivory tower
sycophants. Researchers at Harvard have a report that says that, “To
meet the Obama administration’s targets for cutting greenhouse gas
emissions, some researchers say, Americans may have to experience a
sobering reality: gas at $7 a gallon,” according to a
New York Times Dot Earth blog.
|
|
Dot Earth should be the first clue for the idea. The intellectual
residents of the ivory tower sit in their plush chairs and pontificate
on that which is nebulous at best. They ride in their own vehicles or
take public transportation to the tower of “knowledge.” Their minds are
so much superior to the rest of us that they refuse to stoop to the
realities that all working and retired citizens face every day.
|
|
The “oh so smart” ones who know best what all of us should do, had
better think about what will happen to their lives if taxes increase the
price of fuel. If gasoline goes to $ 7 per gallon, it makes no
difference whether taxes have raised the price or whether the refinery
has done so, the economy well grind to a halt in a short time. Farmers
will not be able to afford to raise food, much less haul it to market
for processing. Processors will reduce their operations or go out of
business. In other words, life will become very hard when food becomes
scarce.
|
|
All of this nonsense about taxing gasoline to reduce its use is
predicated on the global warming, green house gases stupidity of Al Gore
and the so-called scientists. The moniker So-Called Scientists is
because at last count most of the “scientists” spouting the consensus of
global warming science were social scientists. Being not sure what
credentials Al Gore has on his resume for science, in addition to being
an idiot, I’ll suggest he may have slept next door to a neo-scientist at
a cheap motel. The type of scientist next door is not known, but that
which we do know leads one to believe that many of the scientists
involved are anything but honest.
|
|
Many flaws are abundant in the climate study, but one glaring flaw is
the fact that none of the hypotheses can be proven because experiments
and replication of the experiments aren’t possible. At best, only
scientific principles of inquiry can be used and even those principles
have been ignored for political correctness.
|
|
It must be declared it is fiction that gasoline must be $7 per gallon to
combat a nonexistent global warming climate change notion, which isn’t
fact at all. Sam Cowling made more sense due to the fact the listeners
knew he was spoofing and having fun. Yet, if we use a bit of Food For
Thought, it is evident that the climate change nut-balls aren’t
spoofing. They are deadly serious even though their spouting is devoid
of facts and is pure fiction.
