It would be good for all who make light of the Second Amendment to read it and learn what the founders meant by the words they used to craft the amendment. In order to learn the meaning, it is necessary to read the Federalist Papers, numbers 26, 27, 28 and 29. In addition, check the meaning of free and state in Webster’s 1828 Dictionary. The meanings in the Constitution aren’t what is traditionally believed and taught, if they are taught in the public schools at all. It can be said with all certainty that the Constitution is the enemy of the left since it limits the designs of the leftist groups to control all of society. In addition, the founders knew there would be efforts to subvert the liberty of the people. The only liberty pleasing to certain groups is the liberty to control everyone through unconstitutional laws.

As with the Bible, to arrive at the correct meaning and understanding of the Bible message by looking at the word meanings, it is also necessary for proper understanding of the Constitution to find the meaning of words and phrases that were used. Modern dictionaries and thesaurus won’t convey what the founders meant. In the Second Amendment the words Free State do not necessarily refer to a political division called a state. Rather, the words refer to the same entity as the Declaration of Independence; that entity is people who are beings not bowing to enslavement by a government. The work of the founders was to make individuals free of the dictates of England by setting up a government that recognized certain God given rights.

Senator Ted Cruz of Texas said in his speech at the NRA Convention held in Texas, “The Constitution matters. All of the Constitution. It’s not pick and choose. It’s not take what part you like and get rid of the parts you don’t like,” said Cruz. “Every word of the Constitution matters. It is our fundamental protection of our liberties against the government.”

Apply Cruz’s statement to the second Amendment. In order to secure that Free State of being against a government or anyone who threatens or tries to deny such existence, the Second Amendment was written to enable citizens to have the power to resist and defeat tyranny. Anyone who denies that either doesn’t understand the Constitution or is a liar. And truth be told, the liberal Democrats and their supporters are liars, and the politicians particularly so because they took an oath of fidelity to uphold and defend the Constitution. That they are refusing to do so that makes their oath taking a lie.

The above brings us to Attorney General Eric Holder and Kansas. Kansas passed a law to nullify enforcement of certain federal gun laws. Holder does not like the law. The following is from a news source: Last week Eric Holder sent a letter to Governor Sam Brownback informing the Governor that Kansas S.B. 102, The Second Amendment Protection Act, was unconstitutional. Here is a brief quote from the letter: “In purporting to override federal law and to criminalize the official acts of federal officers, S.B. 102 directly conflicts with federal law and is therefore unconstitutional.” Eric Holder does not know the Constitution and if he does he is lying. First, Congress does not have any authority to change the Constitution by legislation. Second, Holder conveniently left out the words in Article 6 Clause 2 that says [laws] shall be made in Pursuance thereof … Laws passed by Congress must conform to the Constitution; note it is that it is shall which means mandatory conformance. If Holder does not know that, he should not be the Attorney General. If he does know it, he needs to be removed from the office.

States and the citizens of each respective state are guaranteed the right to create laws that are not in violation of the stated provisions of the U.S. Constitution. Such liberty is found in the 9^th and 10^th Amendments. It is the nut job, Congress and Eric Holder who are attempting to destroy the Free State of the citizens and by extension, the freedom of the states to conduct the lawful business of the citizens through the duly elected state officers. The Second Amendment is their enemy and stands between the citizens and enslavement to tyranny by the aforementioned wannabe despots.
