     GENESIS AND SALVATION

Paul told the people of Corinth, For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 3:11) The foundation of Jesus Christ had a beginning and that beginning is found in Genesis. Peter spoke of Christ, I Peter 1:20-21: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.  Without an understanding and belief that Genesis is true, correct, and is without error, belief in Christ isn’t possible since Genesis is the foundation on which salvation began.  In fact, without Genesis it is not possible to explain any relationship, human or otherwise since neither evolution nor science has an explanation for the relationships.

Evolutionists have no explanation for the various kinds of life. They dwell on the human evolutionary aspect of life without explaining how lifeless matter decided to become all the different types of plant and animal life. They speak as if the evolutionary process was somehow perfect and produced perfect specimens of each life. However, ask them how sin appeared and they are lost. If evolution was so perfect, how did it create imperfection? The truth is that evolution is a phony idea that has no basis in fact to support it. Even Darwin doubted what he claimed for it.

God created Adam and Eve perfect beings. They were sinless until they exercised their free will to choose. There are those who claim that humans do not have free will but that claim is false too.  Humans have a free will in the parameter of the choice God gave to humans, either follow him and live or follow doctrines which are false and die, Genesis 2:16-17. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. The Hebrew word die is muwth -- pronounced: mooth,  and means to be put to death, to die and in the sense when they did not obey God, he placed a death warrant on them which they collected through making the wrong choice.

Paul said in Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:  That was Adam who did not assume the leadership position God gave to him. Paul’s words were several years after Jesus stated as part of his work of salvation The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) The comparison is a life that is of a far superior quality to ordinary ungodly human life whose promise is eternal death. Jesus gives the promise of eternal life when he returns.

Even with banishment from the Garden, God made it possible for humankind to again live in splendor with abundant life, which Adam and Eve forsook due to the sin of disobedience. That life is possible through Jesus; God told the serpent his plan that would be his death warrant due to deviousness and lie. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Genesis 3:15) While the serpent would inflict a wound on Jesus, it would not be fatal, whereas the blow to the serpent would be fatal and final for all of eternity.

If the serpent thought he had won, he was badly mistaken. Paul wrote in Ephesians 1:3-6, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.  The serpent lost the battle before he began his lies since God had already won the war.

Adam and Eve lost eternal life by disobedience, and as a result, all men and women born since Adam and Eve have been subject to sin. God knew that man could not redeem or save himself. As for believers and followers of evolution, there is no salvation or eternal life because evolution has no plan for life after death; but in Jesus, salvation is available to all who will obey the gospel, including those who evolutionist who will believe, repent and obey the gospel of Jesus Christ.
