The Bible Lesson Series that will be published over the next few weeks will cover two subjects, general unbelief and evolution, which are related. That’s not to say that all unbelievers are evolutionists, because they aren’t, but all evolutionists are unbelievers even though a few claim to be believers or Christians. Both evolutionists and common run of the mill unbelievers use the same and similar arguments against God and the Bible, as do some Christians who try to support their ungodly belief in an attempt to reconcile their evolutionary ideology with the biblical teachings. In the process, they not only disparage the power of God, but the authors of the various books of the Bible who wrote the truth. There will be overlap of the subjects since both unbelievers and evolutionists use many of the same scriptures and arguments in their attacks on God, Christ and believers. Each groups use of scriptures will be noted as needed.

At the outset of this series, let’s clear the air. The doctrine of evolution is a work of evil preached by followers of the devil (Satan), which means God has no part or parcel in it in any manner shape or form. Evolution is an ungodly doctrine that denigrates humanity by equating them with lower animals and “champions” equality through a God denying materialistic doctrine. Both subjects, along with others, will be explored in the articles, not the least of which is the total inability of Darwin’s theory to promote morals on which a stable society is dependent. Without a moral standard for society that is higher than man’s idea of behavior, decadence is the ultimate result. Both the Bible and the historical record prove that such is true.

Every event has a beginning; the major flaw in the evolutionary theory is a very fundamental and simple one in that for all the explanations for the validity of the theory, the adherents of the devilish doctrine can’t explain the origin of the matter from which they claim evolution began. If a credible foundation for any belief can’t be found, then by the use of logic and reason, the proposition is false.

The Word of God reveals to us four basics that encompass all of God’s instructions to us. First is the beginning or origin of all things including sin; second, a system of morals for humans to follow; third, right behavior that pleases God; and fourth, salvation for the sins that human’s always commit. The theory of evolution not only can’t explain how any one of the four came into being, it can’t account for any behaviors that result from them.  Leave out any one of the four and humanity is doomed to destruction, as will be seen in these articles.

Genesis 1:1 says, In the beginning God created the heaven (see Psalms 19:1 below for the meaning of heaven) and the earth. That verse gives the evolutionists and God deniers fits. It speaks of the beginning and the dreaded three letter word God. Not only that, but using the word created is far different from using the word evolve.  How foolish would it be to say that God made things evolve into something else instead of the something else being created? That would be giving power to the material world that reason tells us it doesn’t have and never has had at any time.

Then the verse tells us that God created heaven and earth. Thus, the origin of material world and the entire cosmos is revealed. Verse one puts God first in the scheme of all creation and gives us the statement of the origin in simple terms, which the evolutionists deny by saying that Creation is a myth for which there is no evidence or proof. They say to believers, “You prove God exists and that he created the material world and I might believe in God.” Believers don’t have to prove anything; to the contrary, evolutionist must prove God doesn’t exist which they can’t do, though through their lies about the power of evolution they think they have done so all the while ignoring Psalms 19:1: To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork.  Heavens, in the Hebrew language is a dual construction and refers to the upper reaches where the heavenly bodies move and the lower area where the clouds move. (There is also a third heaven to be discussed at a later time.) Firmament, a translation of a different word means an expanse or visible arch of the sky that shows the work of God. But the evolutionist insists that all that came about through some hocus-pocus they can’t explain; don’t understand; and for which they have no proof, but nonetheless doggedly stick to their fantasy of mutating forms.

Should they ever give a particle of their minds to the idea that there is an order in the universe due to some preordered design rather than random events, they would have to acquiesce to the fact that evolution is false.  That they won’t do because that would be an admission of a higher intelligence other than themselves, and the inevitable conclusion will have to be that the intelligence is God since there is no proof of any higher intelligence than God, our Creator. Thus, Genesis 1:1 is their stumbling block whether they like it or not.
