A war between those who believe that God created the universe and those
who believe that somehow material inanimate objects willed themselves
into life has captured the news for months. Believers in God say that
God spoke and all came into being while the evolutionists claim that
somehow inert objects began to spontaneous change and evolved into the
life forms we have now.

It is argued for truth that neither side can prove their position. That
would be true if not for one important element, which is the testimony
of the men of old who have never been proven to have done anything but
tell the truth. Where is their truth found? It is in the book called the
Bible. In spite of the evolutionary claims, no one has been able to
prove their truth telling was anything but the truth and they never
will.

The book of Genesis tells that us in Gen 1:1, In the beginning God
created the heaven and the earth. The next series of verses tell
us that he said “Let there be and that which he spoke came
into existence and set forth the rules governing their existence. Then
after creating everything, God rested on the sixth day.

The proponents of evolution, some of whom claim to be Christians, argue
that the word day means an indefinite period of time. The problem with
that argument is that the sun rises and sets which determines the length
of the day, and additionally the word used for day means a determined
length of time and it meant that when the Bible was written. Whereas
the evolutionists say that it took millions upon millions of years to
evolve to our present state, God did it in six days. The Bible is the
written record of the creation and all the evolutionists have are
supposition and pseudo-science which proves nothing. The Bible is the
standard for life and living and the evolutionist has no written
standard on which to rely in spite of their protestations to the
contrary and Darwin notwithstanding, the principle god of the
evolutionists.

The writer of Hebrews wrote Heb 1:1 God, who at sundry
times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the
prophets, Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken
unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom
also he made the worlds; These two verses state unequivocally
that God spoke to the men of old who recorded the scriptures and that
through His Son he made the worlds. It is a written record that has
stood the test of time.

One word, power, explains the work of God in creation. To that end there
are six Greek that are used for power, the main one being dunamis. The
definitions are as follows: force (literally or figuratively);
specially, miraculous power (usually by implication, a miracle itself):
-- ability, abundance, meaning, might(-ily, -y, -y deed), (worker of)
miracle(-s), power, strength, violence, mighty (wonderful) work,
inherent capability and ability to perform anything, but with power that
is not only capable of action; it is power in action. That is testified
to in Genesis when God spoke the world into being.

Some evolutionists who believe in God claim that He gave power to
inanimate objects to change themselves over time. The problems with such
belief are many, but three are notable: One, that would have required God
to give up his power which the Bible says he didn’t, and it would tend
to say that he didn’t have the force to bring about His creation; two,
such assertion means that the Bible isn’t true and that the words used
have no real definitive meaning; and three, the obvious conclusion based
on the first two is that the writers of the Bible were liars.

|
Whom shall be believed? The men of old or the evolutionist who deny
God’s power in their quest to prove that which can’t be proved. The
evolutionist appeals to science for the explanations of life. Will they
please explain with logic and reason how inanimate items had the power
to change to animate objects and where it all came from in the
beginning. They can’t since they can’t even agree on what they claim
they believe.
