HOME INVASION

One item that most every household in America owns is the television set. I, for one, remember when television was in it's infancy. Most families were fortunate if they owned even one set.  There were only a few stations telecasting. We could choose to watch a musical, a comedy show, or a report of the latest news. All programming was family friendly. As with most other inventions, TV quickly expanded each year with more choices.  In fact, so much freedom is now allowed by the FCC that programming now includes nightly murders, adultery-leaning sit-coms, crime, pornography, talk shows where any subject is permissible, game shows (which have been rigged in the past), news reports that have a political bias, plus others. Many homes now have several television sets, and most children have their own personal set in their bedrooms where they choose programs at liberty unsupervised. My question is, would we invite the same people we watch on television into our living rooms in person? Think about turning our sets off oftener, leaving more time to enjoy and interact with the kids and family.
