HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE AND TRUTH

The homosexual lobby and their supporters who are clamoring for the right of homosexuals to marry don’t seem to be telling all the truth. There is a greater issue for them than being able to marry. If the content of the constant pressure they are applying is examined, there is an aspect that hasn’t been looked at by very many people.

To explain what is meant about a deeper issue, let’s first look at what they say in light of the Bible truth about marriage. When God instituted marriage, unity became the foundation for the man and woman. Genesis 2:24 says, Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.  The words in Hebrew language make it clear that that a man and woman are joined to together in a common bond of unity that excludes all others and types of relationships not God ordained.

Of course, the homosexual contingent refuses to believe that is what God ordered, while at the same time many claim to believe in God. The fact is that when one claims belief in God then all other notions must be set aside when those notions don’t conform to God’s way. It is proper to say when a practicing homosexual claims belief in God that he or she is either seriously deluded or lying. It is impossible to practice sin and follow God at the same time. The two are mutually exclusive.

Homosexuals and their supporters are trying to change the biblical definition of marriage. If they are successful in doing so, then what other definition for human behavior found in the Bible will they try to change? Will other types of human conduct classified as sin undergo change to suit the whims of those who don’t want to follow the morality that God has given the world? Looking at the proclivities of humans to engage in disobedience and debauchery, the logical conclusion is that other changes will be attempted.

Is it marriage that the homosexuals want or is it something else? It is submitted that it isn’t marriage they want as such. They want the definition changed to assuage their consciences since they know that homosexuality is wrong. No matter how much they or anyone else deny that God is the author of morality, it doesn’t change the fact that he is that author for the rules that set the bounds for acceptable and proper human behavior.

In the realm of human behavior, when those who persist in the wrong doing of homosexual conduct (or any other behavior contrary to normal and accepted behavior) try to make others accept their behavior, they believe that if they can get the opposition to change, then that will establish the rightness of their beliefs and practices. By attempting to redefine marriage, then they can say that marriage isn’t exclusively for a man and woman and therefore that means that God didn’t mean what he said about marriage. The simple fact is that if God can be removed from the equation, then there isn’t any reason to keep the God given definition of marriage.

The above being true, when God is removed sin is no longer an issue, and by the reluctance of those who know better caving into the homosexual pressure, then behaviors that society once couldn’t accept and knew to be sin, will not be an issue and the degenerates can practice their illicit behaviors with impunity, free from a guilty conscience.

By changing the definition of marriage it removes the plain fact of God and sin; it gives them license to practice immorality because the moral definitions aren’t any longer valid; and opens the door for all types of despicable behavior. In Sorting It Out, that is the deeper issue which involves a guilty conscience that won’t go away because of their denial of God's morals. Why else would the homosexual contingent attempt to make deviancy normal?
