| HORRIBLE AND DESPICABLE |

By now, most people have heard and read of the terrible event that took place in a Connecticut elementary school. At present, there isn’t any answer for the crime that took the lives of so many people. Suggestions have been offered to explain the shooter’s behavior but none seem to give any answer. There is one factor that hasn’t been mentioned until recently; it is anger. The pattern of behavior tends to indicate that the shooter was filled with hatred for women and children. He killed his mother, then killed the principal, a woman, then shot the counselor, another woman, and then went to the class room and killed the children. It is only a supposition, but it appears that anyone connected to his mother was in his sights. Revenge for actual mistreatment or false perceptions with an idea of getting even are not far fetched. Did he blame his mother for the parent’s divorce? Did he have anger that hid beneath the surface and which finally boiled over? It now appears that he acted out of hatred, anger and revenge which boiled over. He had a plan and followed it. As horrible as the event was, a despicable behavior has now entered the discourse and it is being put forth by leftist politicians who never miss an opportunity to demagogue an issue. The smoke from the killer’s guns had barely cleared the air when Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York, said, “This is a national tragedy and it demands a national response.” Read that as we need massive gun control measures. Then the mayor of Boston chimed in on the issue by saying, “Now is the time for a national policy on guns that takes the loopholes out of the laws, the automatic weapons out of our neighborhoods and the tragedies like today out of our future.” As Rahm Dead Fish Emanuel said, “Never let a crisis go to waste” and the mayors didn’t. Then when the nut job spoke he said, “We’re going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this regardless of the politics.” Yes sir, we must act in spite of the Second Amendment to the Constitution. While expressing sorrow, he had a hidden message of gun control when he uttered the words meaningful action. The two mayors also want full gun control and will work with the nut job to create it. Make no mistake, the left wants to disarm all citizens. Because they have a personal hatred of firearms, they are attempting to shove their hatred onto us to satisfy their superior attitudes and desires. If one is not a lefty, then the ideas, wants and desires of others do not count for anything. They are so blinded by their stupid agendas they cannot see the damage they create in society. Years ago, Israel had a problem with shooters attacking their schools. They tried several ideas and none worked well, if at all. Finally, they armed their teachers and, as if by magic, the assaults against the schools ceased. Schools in the United States have become a shooting gallery because the killers know they will not encounter any firearms. Regarding the event in Connecticut, we can pray that such will not happen anywhere else. We can say prayers for the immediate families, their friends and the public servants who are charged with handing the aftermath of the carnage. We can also lobby for common sense solutions that will allow the school personnel to defend the children and themselves. Additionally, we can pray for the misguided politicians who are making assaults on the Constitution to install their version of safety, which is not safety at all. Gun control is being attempted for many reasons, but one appears to be so that the politicians can feel good for themselves for doing something. It would be something too. It would open the door to all the thugs who don’t obey the laws of the land. Homes and businesses would soon become unrestricted shooting galleries for the misfits in society. What the politicians want to do is nothing short of despicable and should be viewed as such by every liberty loving citizen. © 12-15-2012 DEC |
