Voices letter writer from Searcy, 11-11-2007, had some good points but
in the opening paragraph, he in a round about way contradicted his later
offerings. To begin with, he remarked that the politicians tell why
programs are needed, but never tell how they will be funded. That isn’t
exactly true as will be pointed out in this article.

The writer wrote: Take Hillary Clinton, for an instance. She wants to
take care of us with health care and other government programs. This in
and of itself isn’t bad. Liberals have good hearts. They want to help
everybody, and that’s good, but how are they going to get it
accomplished. In fact, he uses the very examples which aren’t
working in opposition to thinking government help is a good thing.

Hillary taking care of us with health care and other government programs
is a joke of the most immense proportions. It is a bad thing. Does the
writer really want the government to tell him what to do and not to do?
Liberals do have good hearts to help as long as it isn’t their money
that is doing the helping and they do want to help everybody with one
exception. They don’t want to help the “rich” except to help themselves
to the resources of the “rich” to pay for the help for everybody that
isn’t rich. Hillary has made that clear. There is the promised
revelation of the source for the funding.

Her social programs won’t fair any better than those in Canada and
Europe. She can’t give an explanation since she knows that socialistic
programs are colossal failures no matter where they are instituted or by
what names they are known. She is depending on the gullible “I want the
government (read that the rich) to provide it for me” to install her in
the White House so she can provide helpful ideas of ruin for all of us.

The surest way to stop the eventual bankrupting of the nation is to get
government out of all the programs not provided for in the Constitution.
When each person has to be responsible for his or her care (family
included), the problem will be solved. It worked before 1965 and it
will work again.
