When God reaches down and touches me, it drives me to my knees,

With love as pure as the Son of God who died because of me.

To think that He really loves me so, even though I’m a sinful man,

Why He sent His Son to die, I just can’t understand

 He knew the price of a sinless life was death in cruel pain,

I don’t understand why He stood the test for my eternal gain.

Before I was born God knew the man I would grow up to be,

He even knew whether I’d be saved or not, but He left that choice to me.

 I’m glad to say the choice I made was for His heavenly Son,

To be saved by Christ through eternal grace without a question one.

No questions about His boundless love, but something I still don’t get,

Why He volunteered for a violent death when we had never met.

 As with God I’m sure He also knew whether I would accept His grace,

By asking Him into my heart and one day see His face.

How Jesus could die upon the cross and know who’d turn their back,

It wasn’t because He failed them; it was because of what they lacked.

If you have faith, He has a love that is without a price or cost,

Even though I don’t get it at all, without Him I am lost.

If you try to get what all this means, please don’t wait too late,

‘Cause if you die without His grace, here’s your eternal fate.

You’ll die alone then you’ll be judged by our God supreme,

It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand for eternity you will scream.

You scream in a hell that never ends, never will you die,

You’ll never understand where you went wrong and to God you’ll cry and cry.

 The bible verse that you probably missed about peace and understanding,

Is it the one that sent you straight to hell for answers you were demanding?

So forget the understanding and just accept his grace without a question one,

Then you’ll be saved by matchless grace, by Jesus Christ the Son.
