The forces at work against the United States have several components,
two of which are the news media and the liberal politicians. They aren’t
seen as insidious, but they are when examined based on the definition of
the word; the meaning is that of, craftiness, slyness, and a treachery
more dangerous than seems evident. The same type people, called the
Fifth Column during WWII, worked to undermine the nation and the war
effort but did it more covertly. Now we see an overt effort by the two
aforementioned groups.

News outlets, the most notable being the New York Times, (L.A. Times
and the Wall Street Journal also) have taken it up on themselves to put
news over the nation’s security. They think it is right to divulge
certain types of operations that are being used in this different type
of warfare since the public has a right to know. Apparently they never
stop to consider that the efforts they are exposing are helping to
protect them as well. The key words to remember about the reason for
using the methods to counter the enemy are a different kind of war. The
enemy doesn’t wear uniforms or have visible military equipment. They are
faceless and hide amongst us, using our open society and the liberties
we enjoy to operate their schemes designed for our downfall. Since they
use our government and social processes in a clandestine way to bring
about carnage, we must fight them in ways that aren’t of the usual type.

Data mining is the name of the game which points to patterns that begin
to develop over time that indicate certain people and their behavior are
more than highly suspicious. The descriptive word is deadly if the
activity is allowed to continue. After all the wailing about the
methods, not one news hound can point to anyone whose liberties or
privacy has been invaded. (Thugs, terrorists, and their ilk don’t
count.)

|
The other group is liberal politicians who pontificate on talk shows, in
Congress, and in print. Puffed up men like John Kerry, slimy Harry Reid,
the late John Murtha, the woman, Nancy Pelosi, and others rattle and
ramble about what we should do or not do. The point needs to be made to
representatives and senators that the Constitution doesn’t put them in
charge of the military or the war. They wail about the methods being
used and declare we can’t win, yet claim they support the troops. How
can they, on the one hand claim to support the troops and on the other
hand demean them by opposing the war? It is tantamount to supporting a
team while at the same time not wanting them to be in the game or
complain when the coach supports his athletes playing the sport. As with
the news media, do the politicians not understand that the efforts at
winning the war are protecting them too?

|
Taken together, the media and the politicians are playing a dangerous
game driven by hatred of the past President. The danger is the peril
that they create for the nation. The enemy becomes emboldened by the
harangues against the war. By reporting all the negative items, along
with the mouthing of the partisan politicians, the enemy sees it as a
sign of fracture and a weakness of resolve on our part to win. Nothing
is farther from the truth but that is the signal those forces are
sending to the terrorist enemy.

In another day and time, those who ran news outlets wouldn’t have
printed the type of news that would reveal methods used in the war
effort against Japan and Germany. Though politicians didn’t like FDR,
they supported him in the war effort. In another day and time, the words
for what the media and the politicians are now doing are treason and
traitors. In Sorting It Out, those who give aid and comfort to the enemy
by their words, and those releasing sensitive and classified items
should be charged and prosecuted, as was done several times years ago.
Only then can we be free of the insidious forces that are attempting to
aid our downfall.
