If a death wish is real, then the Republican Party has asked it to become a reality. The latest attempted suicide with Mitt Romney didn’t quite finish off the event, but surely, what is being considered will finish the self inflicted execution. The heads or honchos, the old guard, head strong rulers of the party, are loathe to relinquishing their stronghold on the party machinery. If they won’t, the party will not elect a Republican to the highest office in the land.

First, the Romney debacle must be examined. Though a nice man, Romney was too nice. Early in the campaign he made a statement that was mostly missed by the Republicans, the media and the usual pundits. But the Democrats didn’t and they used it to their advantage. What did Romney say? After being advised to take the nut job (aka Barack Hussein Obama) head on and give him verbal lashings relative to his unconstitutional behavior and dictatorial ways, Romney said that he couldn’t do that because that wasn’t his style; that it wasn’t him; and what you see and hear is him and that is what you have. Right then and there, the Democrats knew they had nothing to fear from Romney. Also, Romney never outlined much of a plan to change anything, nor did he defend his business dealings with facts and the truth. By neglecting those paths you might as well say that Romney committed political suicide with the able help of the Democrats. They put him on the defensive and he never did go on the offensive to any degree. The nut job may have been correct using the term Romnesia in reference to Romney since he seemed to forget things that would have helped him. 

Now the Republicans are scrambling to try to capture the Hispanic vote. Whether they are speaking of legal Hispanic votes, or the votes that the illegals cast in the last election, all remains to be seen. The news reports from many sources claimed large numbers of illegal voters went to the polls and voted for the nut job. When the Hispanic vote is examined, it is obvious that those voters care very little for life in a constitutional republic. By granting amnesty to them, (The illogical thinking is that since they are otherwise law abiding, they ought to be allowed to stay since the only violation is being here illegally.) they will have no incentive to learn the requirements of our type of government. Daily behavior of the various groups, La Raza being a prime example, demonstrates that all they want is citizenship with no strings attached.

Nowhere in the discussions is the Constitution with its intentional provisions for limited government ever mentioned. For some reason these people aren’t being told and are being given special consideration to become citizens. But wait, the words for some reason aren’t quite true. The reason is votes and the Democrats want more of them voting because the history of the alien voter says they are devoted Democrat voters. In other words, the Democrats do not care that the voters know nothing of the Constitution. The fact that our union is being destroyed by the pandering to the various groups that want something for nothing, which the Democrats are all too willing to provide, means nothing when votes are on the auction block.   

Count us in says the Republicans who are jumping onto the “Let us get the Hispanic vote” bad wagon. That is not a mistake, it is a bad wagon. Not one peep out of them that the Constitution must be taught to those wanting amnesty or the fact that those who apply for citizenship through the legal channels are being lost in the clamor to gather up voters. Instant votes are what counts. But why should the Hispanics vote for Republicans when they are receiving from the Democrats all that their hearts can desire? There is no reason for them to do so, but the Republicans have a plan.

Yes, a plan and the plan’s name is Jeb Bush. His wife is a Mexican and she can help Jeb capture the Hispanic vote according to the party’s head strong leaders. The Democrats are in need of a bib for the drool escaping from their lips at the thought of another Bush running for the Oval Office. The Republican Party leaders will never learn that they are headed for another defeat. Not only is it the death of the Republican Party being witnessed, it is the death of the republic as well. Now, do you understand the reason for the title of the article?
