It's Him

At a concert late one Saturday Night I looked upon the stage,

Up there stood a man in white, He was all the rage.

His hair was flowing, his face was glowing, his voice so soft and sweet,

Everyone there stretched out their hand hoping just to meet,

The man behind this vision, a man so handsome and strong,

He made those folks forget there troubles and the fears they’d fought so long,

He sang about truth, justice and love of God, a message for all to hear,

With a voice as soft as an angel's harp from a heart oh so sincere.

He invited us to press in close as he sang in a voice so pure,

He sang about joy, peace and love, those things that do endure.

He sang pop, rap, country and blues, like no ones ever done,

A lot of singers came and went, but we knew he’s the one.

He sang about things that make us glad, and forget the killing wars,

He sang about the things that truly matter and the things that make us soar,

Like eagles on a summer breeze that fly with perfect form,

A song that had such powerful words, they calmed an angry storm.

A song that heals a broken heart and mends a torn up life,

A song that flows deep into us and heals our worldly strife.

A song that reaches young and old, everyone just right,

Whether it’s in the light of day or on the darkest night.

He sang a dozen songs or more, but we only heard just one,

The song with a message for all ages, ‘cause we know He’s the one.
