JUST A BARBER POLE!
Candy stripes and lolipops -
This is what I am thinking,
When you walk by me you
Don't see lights a blinking.
I turn around and round
And I always look nice,
Each time you walk by me
You glance once or twice.
You check inside my
barbershop
To see if people are in
there,
If not, you know right then
My barber will cut your hair.
The barber is whistling, he
is a
Happy man most everyday,
With this you sit down and
smile
And want him to stay this
way.
The barber covers your
shoulders
He starts to snip here and
there,
Pretty soon you look at the
floor
And see your hair is
everywhere!
You are cut, combed and
brushed
With very quick precision,
Then sprayed with something
nice -
Coming in was a good
decision.
I patiently wait outside to
Watch the customers walk in,
They sit down to read a paper
-
Listen to talk and give a
grin.
I'm always here and on duty -
Counting the people toll,
I am quite proud to be
JUST A BARBER POLE!
