"Never let a serious crisis go to waste. What I mean by that is it's an opportunity to do things you couldn't do before." So said Rahm Emmanuel in 2009, and the leftist crowd is making that a reality. From firearms control to homosexual marriage, the surge is on to control liberties of the people forcing them to accept the ideology of the left.

Newtown gave renewed impetus to gun control measures in spite of the words shall not be infringed in the Constitution’s Second Amendment. All manner of arguments are proffered for enacting legislation at both federal and state levels in violation of our rights. No matter that the politicians and their willing supporters are attempting to deny law abiding citizens the right to self defense by determining what kind and how much self defense can be employed.

In 1981, when President Reagan was shot by John Hinckley, Sarah Brady began her quest to eliminate firearms due to her husband being injured in such a manner that he was deprived of living in a normal manner. It is understandable that she suffered greatly, but that is no reason to deprive other citizens of their constitutional rights. Instead of working for better laws to deal with criminals who commit such acts, she has gone after firearms owned by law abiding citizens. Now go back to Abraham Lincoln and the aftermath of his assassination; no one demanded that firearms be banned. John Wilkes Booth was killed by those attempting to capture him. Justice was swift and sure for the man.

With advent of forearms being used in several criminal acts, the politicians and their dupes are on a campaign to not let the crisis go to waste even though history tells us that nothing good will come of it. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it and that dooms everyone. Yet, they won’t listen and blindly plunge on to please their supporters who are afraid of guns for reasons that do not make much sense.

 Another crisis being manufactured with the aide politicians is the denial of rights for homosexuals who want their sinful conduct enshrined as normal by using the law. There isn’t anything normal about it, but it is politically incorrect to state it. It is safe to say that the average citizen does not know the types of debauched behavior that is practiced by homosexuals. One can see some of it when the homosexuals flaunt their conduct in parades and other public places. (This author has seen such conduct due to a previous occupation, and to this day, I refuse to tell others what was witnessed or describe what was seen. Abhorrent and despicable does not define the behavior adequately.)

If the invented crisis of firearms and the homosexual issue isn’t enough, the phony abortion crisis is the worst. The liberals are in a rage because those terrible pro-life legislators in several of the states are passing laws to help reign in the unconstitutional Roe v Wade, an invention of the United States Supreme Court which- and what follows is plain-gives women the right to kill their unborn for any reason or no reason. Women’s health has nothing to do with it except in the very few extreme cases. After all the excuses are made, the truth is they do not want the child. They refuse to admit that the tiny being in their womb is another human. They claim they can do what they want with their body. The problem is that the body they want to kill is another human being.  They don’t want their careers ruined; they don’t want to be burdened; and others claim that is better to kill the unborn child rather that allow him or her to be born into possible poverty or to other conditions that might not be good. However, that argument is so disingenuous it isn’t worthy of a serious thought of any kind. Many people were born into less than ideal situations. Using the spurious arguments of the pro-death people, a major portion of society should have been aborted since we live in an imperfect world that has less than, in many cases, ideal family environments. How many pro-death people were born into sorry situations? Even so, do the pro-death people not enjoy life? They should be thankful that their respective mothers chose to allow them to be born. At the least their mothers valued life and knew that killing the unborn-now the pro-death/abortion people-is wrong. Life is fine for them but death for the unborn is their despicable mantra.    

The haters of firearms, lovers of homosexual behavior and the abortionists/abortion supporters despise the scriptures except when they can pull a verse from its context to use for a whip against believers. It is much like the ones who dislike guns using guns to defend against an assault. No matter that they do not like the Scriptures; one will be used any way. John the Baptist said, Make straight the way of the Lord, (John 1:23). Making straight the path of life is what the left refuses to do and they are making every effort to prevent anyone else from doing so. They are behaving as did the children of Israel when they wanted judges in the period of time when everyone did what was right in his or her own eyes. Even though they will be destroyed, their bull-headed obsession with their ideology prevents them for seeing it. They think they are God and they are going to prove it.

Leftists are ever alert to expand their aberrant view of the world. As adherence to God’s principles of behavior is denigrated by the ungodly and unholy, humanistic rules have inevitably taken over with the mantra that they are liberating for those who want freedom. The truth is that they are not liberating but only serve to enslave the doer to sin. Yes sin, is the word. It is the forgotten word that defines the behavior that God condemns. But when sin is mentioned, the left and the ungodly (excuse the repetition) go into tirades designed to silence the opposition. They scream epitaphs at normal people that range from killers to homophobes and worse. Yet they call themselves tolerant, and those with whom they vociferously disagree, they call intolerant.  They are right in one respect. Normal law abiding peaceful people are very intolerant of their republic destroying ideology. And that the left does not like no matter what they may say.

The real crisis is the turning away of the republic from God’s way and any other is pure nonsense propagated by the leftist crowd who has no regard for decency and right conduct. To suggest otherwise to the ungodly is the highest form of nonsense and intolerance in their eyes.
