In the October 9th issue of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Mike Masterson delved into the subject of complaining, whining and feeling sorry for oneself. The woman he mentioned in the article was one who constantly complained, whined and blamed her problems on everything but herself. And then one day a friend made a statement to her and from that day on, she stopped playing the blame game and wrote a book on how to escape that syndrome.

Masterson’s article gave rise to some thoughts relative to the leftist liberal politicians and their followers. Both the politicians and followers whine, complain and blame their misfortune on everything that they don’t like, namely those who have views opposite of theirs. That isn’t to say that those who oppose the liberals do not whine and complain, but there are differences as will be pointed out. But first we’ll look at leftist liberals and their blathering.

When leftist liberal politicians whine and complain in an accusatory mode, it isn’t about themselves. No, they whine complain and accuse the opposition of being draconian on behalf of their followers. The fact is plain and simple. The leftist followers have a proxy for whining and complaining in the person of the liberal politicians. The proxies doing the whining and complaining assure the followers that someone is listening to them and dealing with their concerns, needs and wants. Mostly it is for wants in that, “We want more of the wealth of those who have it and don’t need it.” The liberals are notorious for believing that they are sufficiently knowledgeable to determine who is wealthy and how much wealth they should retain. And don’t you dare tell them they are full of baloney because they will accuse you of being sorry and against all the people who are … well sorry, but they won’t state it that way. Privately they know that many of their supporters are sorry, but they won’t admit it. What advantage would there be for them to tell the truth when those sorry people vote for them to keep the “sorry for them” feelings flowing?

The opposition complains and whines with a purpose. It isn’t that not enough is being given or done for the sorry people, but rather it is because the government is doing that which feeds the sorry for self that prompts more whining and complaining. One feeds on the other and when the opposition makes any effort to put a stop to the conditions that lead to the behavior, they are attacked for being without feelings, cold, and  well … sorry.

But who is sorry when the issue is examined? It is the politicians who promote the dependence on government through feeling sorry for the downtrodden and miserable of society as determined by the sorry left. One part of the sorry aspect is the fact that the sorry … uh … leftist’s politicians are playing their followers for suckers which are better know as useful idiots. And anyone who doesn’t believe that the idiots are being used haven’t been following the news. Even the nut job (a.k.a. as Barack Hussein Obama) in the White House is siding with the “sorry leftist wet behind the ears” crowd to gain support and advantage for re-election. Nothing works like letting that sorry bunch know that he stands four-square for their sorry conduct.

Feeling sorry for oneself and others can be infectious. At the moment, the word sorry has grabbed this writer to the point I am sick and tired of writing sorry. If those who whine and complain will stop the sorry feelings for self and begin to look beyond their self made plight, sorry for self will be relegated to their past. And I’m not a bit sorry for writing this article.
