I’m sitting and listening for His sweet voice, the one that says draw near,

The one that says I love you child, be quiet and you will hear.

You will hear of a love that knows no bounds, a love for eternity,

A love that has been since time began, a love for you and me.

 The love of God, who sent His Son to die on a cruel cross,

A love you that you can never repay, a love that replaces all loss.

A love that walked in human form, a man called Jesus Christ,

A love that was given for the sins of man, a love that paid the price.

 A love that transcends the evil world and all the hate on earth,

A love that came from God Himself that blessed a virgin birth.

A love that took our Savior Christ and put Him in the grave,

A love that gave Him back the life that death could not enslave.

 A love that heals a broken heart and ministers to those in doubt,

A love that says I will forgive with a mighty praising shout.

A love that lets sick children go to heaven with tearful prayers,

A love that knows they’re in God’s arms where they have no pain or care.

 A love that knows your Mom and Dad are with God in heaven above,

A love that fills your empty heart with the joy of His Son’s love.

A love you have for Jesus Christ, your savior, your healer, your friend,

A love that gives you eternal life you know will never end.

 A love that lets you lay down in peace and sleep the heavenly sleep,

A love that will wake you when Jesus comes and you will see that love so deep.

A love that says I love you child, enjoy eternal life,

The love you’ll see is your savior Lord, His name is Jesus Christ.
