Michael Reagan said the speech Hillary Clinton gave on Super Tuesday night, February 5, 2008, was "Reaganesque," in its content, presumably because of her vision for the nation. However, her vision and that of the Ronald Reagan’s are two different matters and it would be wise to examine the speech in light of her past statements that fit her vision perfectly.

Her first statement was “Now we know the Republicans won't give up the White House without a fight, well let me be clear, I won't let anyone swift boat this country's future.”  What she means is that she will do everything in her power to be elected so she can initiate full-blown socialism and government control for our future. Her record proves the truthfulness of the foregoing statement.

The following paragraphs of the speech should chill the heart of any freedom and liberty-loving citizen. “Together we're going to take back America because I see an America where our economy works for everyone, not just those at the top, where prosperity is shared and we create good jobs that stay right here in America.”  She wants to take us back all right, back to the failed policies of more government control from Washington, more distribution of income to the government designated “poor,” and more make work social projects called “job creation, all paid for by an increase in taxes on the “rich.” The best way to create jobs is to cut ALL business taxes to zero and end all the strangling regulations imposed by Congress. That will bring business back to the states. Will she do that? No.

Then she said: “I see an America where we stand up to the oil companies and the oil producing countries, where we launch a clean energy revolution and finally confront the climate crisis. She is on record for saying she will confiscate the profits of the oil companies and use the money for the greater good of society. Clean energy means more of the food crops will be subsidized to create ethanol, which will create more dependence on government solutions. Already food prices are going up world wide due to the wrong-headed alternative energy bill signed into law by President Bush. The confrontation of the climate crisis, which doesn’t exist, will further limit liberty in ways we cannot imagine until the stupidity kicks into high gear. Ethanol promotion and the ban on light bulbs are just the beginning.

The woman is further committed to her utopian ideology of providing health care. “I see an America where we don't just provide health care for some people, or most people, but for every single man, woman and child in this country -- no one left out.” Her line of “we will provide health care” means that the wealthy will be taxed to pay for the insurance. That has been her intent all along and her past statements are proof of it. She also has said she will garnish the wages of all of those who won’t go along with her Marxist ways. Where is it in the Constitution that the federal government is to provide health insurance or anything else except as listed in Article I, Section 8? Remember, if this woman ever takes the oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution, she will be lying. 

The next two are strange in that she has the same loathing for the military as does her husband, “Draft Dodger Bill.  “I see an America where when a young man or woman signs up to serve our country, we sign up to serve them too. An America with a 21st century GI bill of rights to help veterans go to college, buy a home or start their own businesses.” The GI Bill has provided for those things for years so this is so much puffing and blowing.

Her last statement is as scary as the former statements. “I see an America respected around the world again, that reaches out to our allies and confronts our shared challenges -- from global terrorism to global warming to global epidemics. Respect must be earned but the one glaring fact is that when we confront evil as a nation, the Islamic world and other nut cases scattered around the world won’t respect us. We have reached out to allies and they have responded. Global terrorism is being confronted and certain ones don’t like it. Global warming is so much hot air (pardon the intended pun) and is nothing more than a move to bring about global governance detrimental to our nation. Global epidemics haven’t occurred yet and they won’t if those infected with disease aren’t allowed to enter the nation. Yet, she wants to allow AIDS infected people to be able to come to this nation. The only global epidemic at the moment is the spread of the global social disease of government control being advocated by Hillary Clinton and her ilk.

She finishes with “That's the America I see -- that's the America we will build together.” She means we to be her socialist buddies who will help build her agenda into reality and it actually means that, “If you don’t go along we will force it on you and build the misery for all to the eventual destruction of a free nation endowed with liberty.” In Sorting It Out, the America she wants is the one she sees in her mind and the one she wants to bring into reality. Welcome to Hillary’s Amerika, comrade.
