You might be wondering how a race organization and the government is linked. After you read the article, I think you will see the problem that is in both NASCAR and the government. Both are developing dictatorships, if not already there.

When Bill France Jr. died, Bryan France, his son, was made the head of the organization. The powers that be or were, as the case may be, wanted to keep the operation in the family. Organizations often elevate family members so their families are able to maintain control and such placements often lead to the destruction of the organization. It also preserves the pecking order of the non-family employees within the organization

After taking the reigns of NSCAR, Bryan France said he wanted to leave his mark on the organization. That he is doing to the detriment of the sport by making rules that are not only draconian, they are needless and just plain-yes-stupid. They penalize the owner and crew at the end of a race if the car is too low or too high. No matter that it passed pre-race inspection, ran an entire race and possibly was damaged as happens to the winning car at times, the car specs were out of kilter at the end of the race; consequently, wham, you are guilty of an infraction even when having done nothing to create the infraction. 

Roger Penske’s organization was penalized for having unapproved parts; but the parts had been approved before being installed. NASCAR claimed that the parts were altered. Penske said that was correct, but they were altered according to the rules. Just because you don’t understand our rules is no excuse. No matter, you are guilty because we said you are guilty.

Joe Gibbs, his driver, Matt Kenseth, and crew were hammered unmercifully for one engine connecting rod being too light even though Gibbs employees did not build the engine. The part had been certified by the manufacturer as being the correct weight. Even though Gibbs racing was not responsible for the infraction, NASCAR held them responsible for what they could not control. It is even worse when the fact that Gibb’s employees could not tear down the engine for inspection. Toyota built the engine and the rules prevented Gibbs from dismantling the engine. They are being held guilty because they had an engine with a manufacturing violation over which they had no control.  It was a sad comedy listening to Robert Pemberton attempting to justify the penalties levied against the Gibbs organization. Gibbs must be held responsible even though he and his employees were not responsible for the infraction.   

Speaking can cause trouble for a speaker too. Denny Hamlin was fined for speaking out against the Gen-6 Sprint car. A poobah said that they had spent much money and time developing the car and they would not allow anyone to speak adversely of it. In other words, thou shall not criticize the work of the mighty poobahs so shut your trap or suffer the consequences.

Now let’s turn to the government and the chicanery being used against us at every made opportunity. The nut job promised hope and change. In other words, he intended on leaving his mark on the republic and he is doing just that every day. He rammed the nut job medical care bill through with help of a complicit Congress. The law has provisions that will require fines to be paid if all the hoops are not jumped through as the government dictates. Forget being not able to pay or even being guilty; pay up or else the IRS will knock on the door.

Mr. nut job has gone around the world apologizing for the people of the republic when we aren’t guilty of anything but trying to keep the peace by dealing with the demented of the world that threaten us and attack us for some perceived infraction or indignity. We are to blame for the criminal infection in the Middle East. We are to blame for standing by an ally, Israel. It is one of the reasons the Muslims hate us according to him. Nut job blamed us for the violence problem in Mexico. He blames our liberty to own firearms for the criminals using guns in that country. He blames our founders for writing the Constitution because it impedes his efforts to be a dictator. Just as Hitler and others, such as Stalin, Lenin, Mussolini, the shrimp in North Korea, Mao, the now dead Chavez, (good riddance of rubbish) the nut job is following in the footsteps of those just named. They too played the blame everyone else game to achieve their lethal ends.

Citizens not guilty of anything are arrested and charged. The FBI was sure they had the right man charged with sending the ricin. There was no evidence but they charged him anyway because, according to one Feebie, he might have destroyed the evidence and as soon as they found it, they would hammer him big time. They had to drop the charges since he did not send the poison. But one federal idiot thinks he might have been in on it. You just can’t cure stupidity even with facts. School children are arrested and suspended for innocent acts. They are guilty because school officials said they are guilty.

The link of NASCAR’s actions and that of the government’s behavior at all levels should now be obvious. Both of them are exercising dictatorial methods of control so all is fair and equal according to their ideas. It makes no difference whether one is guilty of any violations of their fair and equal rules; they have made up their minds so don’t confuse them with facts. Even though history shows that such methods ultimately bring destruction to organizations and governments, the powers that be plunge on with their draconian rules and laws. It is similar to the long gone TV show of Father Knows Best, but neither NASCAR nor the government knows best. In the end, the operative word is control and they won’t allow anyone to forget it. Do so at your peril.
