The world is full of people who trade on God’s mane for all kinds of
reasons. Many are like Simon the Sorcerer, who wanted the gift of the
Holy Spirit so he could practice real chicanery. Now there is a modern
day Simon who is not only trading on God’s name, but is using the name
of Jesus for a personal agenda that bears inspection. His continued
speaking shows he knows neither the God found in the Bible nor the way
of Christ, including the requirements Jesus set forth for salvation.
Yet, this man claims to be a Christian, which according to Bible
standards he isn’t, no matter how much he proclaims his belief in
Christ.

Obama claims the preacher Wright helped him find Christ. That is
demonstrably false when the words of Wright are taken apart. One fact
stands out; the man preaches hate and is proud of it and that isn’t what
Christ taught. How can a man who preaches hate for all things not black,
lead anyone to Christ? The other fact is the doctrine of the United
Church of Christ itself. Its doctrine and practice doesn’t follow the
clear teaching of the scriptures for the most fundamental and first act
for salvation, immersion for baptism, a transliterated word derived from
the Greek word baptidzo, which means to bury or immerse. Their
doctrine allows a choice of immersion, sprinkling and pouring. There is
ample evidence to prove that immersion was practiced by the early
Christians following the Bible (an in depth look at baptism is planned).
Since the early church followed the truth of the gospel, what authority
instructed the United Church of Christ to change the clear teaching of
the scriptures?

As Obama continues to express his belief in Christ, his words give lie
to what he says he believes. As The Lord told the children of Israel in
Numbers 32:23,when he was telling the people what to do: But if
ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure
your sin will find you out. Sin will come back to haunt you is
the message and it haunts Obama each time he speaks. He said that he
didn’t believe that belief in Christ is necessary for salvation. He
thinks
good works will earn a person a trip to heaven and he also thinks
Muslims (his mother because she does good works) will go to heaven (his
words) if they do good works.

Such an idea is foreign to the scriptures for as Paul wrote, 8 For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is
the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we
are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God
hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians
2:8-10) Whom will people believe, the Bible
“scholar”
Obama or the apostle Paul? Anyone who holds to the nonsense
that Obama has is denying the faith once delivered to the saints.

Salvation isn’t about going to heaven; it is about inheriting the
eternal life, which Jesus makes possible when one lives in faith in
Christ. When Jesus returns, he will take his believers to the new heaven
and the new earth. The scriptures state: 16 For the Lord himself
shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them
in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with
the Lord. (I Thessalonians 4:16-17) Note that Paul wrote those
dead in Christ. It didn’t say those dead in good works would be taken
too.

Like so many, Obama twists the scriptures, and construes a doctrine that
suits his belief. His speaking shows his ignorance of the Bible and all
the while, he is trying to convince people he is a believer. In Sorting
It Out, it is obvious that Obama knows nothing of sin and God’s demand
of righteousness. By denying Christ and his teaching, he is holding to
the error that is fatal.
