OBAMA HATES GUNS, LOVES ABORTION

Two of the most discussed issues in the Republic of the United States are guns and abortion. While it appears that there isn’t anything in common that links them, there is one common link: emotion. Instead of looking at the two with regard to the law and concern for life, neither one is given much thought. Actually, both involve life and rights.

Firearms are protected in the Second Amendment and are used to protect life. Abortion is not in the Constitution, but the Roe v Wade decision said it is and due to, it, many lives have been lost. Yet, people want to ban firearms ownership and at the same time, protect abortion. Banning firearms create conditions that enable those bent on carnage to commit their crimes, while banning abortion will protect life. And the nut job, Barrack Hussein Obama, has it backwards.

When the founders wrote the Constitution, they were concerned with   government tyranny and those who do not believe it, need to read the works of the founders. Those who believe that the founders didn’t intend for people to own the types of firearms that the military uses, should read the history of that period. The firearms of the military of that day were those that were owned by the colonists. For what it is worth, the people owned cannons and cannon balls. But to use the argument that muskets, muzzle loaders and cap and ball pistols were the arms of the day with the insistence that modern firearms aren’t covered, would require those who hold that view denounce all modern equipment used in speech or any other equipment related to the implementing of any of the Bill of Rights. None of them would agree to that, but it is logical. The Constitution has generalities, not specifics. The founders were much wiser than the “experts” of today.

Emotion enters the discussion when those who want to control guns use over the top speech as did Andrew Cuomo when he said, “You don’t need 10 bullets to kill a deer.” That was pure emotion spewing forth which made him into a lunatic who should be in an asylum. A rational human being he is not. With gun restrictions that both New York and Colorado passed into law, they have made sure that innocent life will not be protected, but it will be much safer for criminals. The Constitution and the need for people to protect themselves always takes a backseat to emotion by those who want to tell others what to do or to push their own selfish agendas.

Arguments are made that guns kill people. Let’s change the line to people kill people with guns. In addition, cars, hammers, hatchets, clubs poison and bombs, to name a few more items, are used to kill. It is obvious that it takes a human using those items to kill another person or persons. While on the subject of killing, abortion kills little people and that is done by butchers calling themselves doctors. Abortions do not happen by themselves unless it is spontaneous, which is a natural unplanned event.

Abortion supporters use emotion rather than cogent arguments. With emotional zeal, they speak of women’s rights, protection of the women’s life. They utter inanities concerning back alley coat hanger operations. Emotion is the rule in the matter. While arguing and adamantly asserting that women have the right to abortion, they conveniently ignore the fact that they are arguing for the right to kill human beings who are innocent of any wrong. Many of the same people want to do away with the death penalty for criminals and yet, want to kill unborn babies; even those who are born as is commonly done in the death clinics.

Self and know it all ideas rule the day in both issues. The theme is that “I don’t like guns and therefore you can’t own guns.” If you insist then we will control them and make your ownership a miserable experience. Abortion is about self also. Self is much more important than the life that is now growing in the uterus and is accompanied by all the emotional arguments that are spouted under the rubric of rights. Nut job Obama said that if one of his daughters made a mistake, he didn't want her to be burdened with a baby. Only a twisted mind wants to kill a grandchild.

Taking away a constitutional right which protects life makes no more sense than creating a right to kill life. The only plausible explanation is that emotion is used rather than reason and logic. What is Obama’s reason?
