OUTRAGE! Part II

 

The Declaration of Independence has the words, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men,”…God, our Creator, has given us all kinds of rights and in order to enjoy those rights and life is the beginning point of all existence which makes liberty and pursuit of happiness possible. Undeniably, abortion prevents the unborn child from entering life and enjoying all that God has to offer. That should be where the outrage lies.

Abortion is only a symptom of a deeper spiritual problem as will be explained as the article progresses. Life begins and ends with God. In the beginning, God … formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into him the breath of life. He told Adam and Eve to Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, Genesis 1:28. In other words, God told Adam and Eve to have children, a natural human process.  In Hebrews 9:27, And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: God is the creator of our life and in by setting in motion life, he also appointed man to die due to the sin of Adam and Eve. God doesn’t choose the day for death for anyone since circumstances and events in life bring it about. In other words, death is a part of the creation of life.

Death isn’t always natural. Chapter 13:4 of Romans makes it clear that one way for death to occur is at the hand of a government. For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. God allows the duly constituted government to end the life of evil doers as the ultimate penalty. But notice that the role of government is to secure the rights for the people and in our system that means that following God’s plan, evil doers can be executed to secure the rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for the law abiding.

God holds life in reverence since he created it and Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 19:14.)  Certainly, abortion prevents little children from learning about Jesus. Jesus also said, It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. (Luke 17:2) The words little one (plural) is used 6 times in scripture and each time it means small or little as opposed to great or (large). Who will argue that little ones cannot refer to the unborn when Jesus honored and still honors life?  He said, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) Who will deny that abortionists are thieves who rob a small and defenseless human of the right to be born?

Abortionist make huge sums of money plying their grisly trade. Our government condones and supports abortion. Now recall the purpose of government. It is to secure rights and the first duty is to protect life. But, as scriptures tell us, For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (I Timothy 6:10) Abortionists love money and due to that fact, they are engaged in an evil enterprise, aided and supported by politicians pandering for money and votes, all the while both groups make excuses about women’s health, deformed babies etc. It is a sad commentary on our leaders when they refuse to honor life, and a citizen unlawfully stops evil because those in government are abdicating their God ordained responsibilities. Paul wrote in Galatians 6:7, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Tiller sowed death upon the unborn and reaped death. His killer sowed death and may he may be rewarded with it too. (He was given a life sentence.)

   A search of the scriptures reveals that there isn’t any excuse or reason for terminating the life of an unborn child. Not only should the people be outraged by abortion itself, but that we are becoming or perhaps have arrived at being a culture that prefers death to life, unless it is a convicted killer who deserves death.

Abortion is only the symptom of a decadent and sick society. The real sickness is people who are turning their minds from God, suffering from a lack of the spirit of God, while sacrificing the posterity (unborn) of the republic to the gods of human invention. In Sorting It Out, turning from God is where the outrage should lie.
