A false doctrine continues to be spouted by those who do not know the
Bible. In fact, many of those who claim to be Christians spout the same
false message. In speaking about various events held in the White House,
the current occupant said the religious events remind us of the role
faith plays in the lives of the American people. He went on to say,
“They remind us of the basic truth that we are all children of God, and
we all draw strength and a sense of purpose from our beliefs.”

That quote is from a man who routinely misquotes scripture and twists
the meanings of the Bible to suit his purpose. He has tried on various
occasions to convince the people of the republic that morals mean
nothing and represents a detriment to a good life; i.e. following the
moral teachings of the Bible inhibit doing whatever one wants to do.
However, all good things in life have a standard and that standard comes
from God, including what is required to become a child of God.

|
One part of his statement that holds truth is that faith plays a part in
the lives of the nation’s people and people draw strength and sense of
purpose from their beliefs. Whether it be religion, or something else
in which people place faith, faith is a part of everyday life from the
drunk who has faith he will find another drink to those who plan to
amass wealth. And strength and sense of purpose stemming from belief
varies from person to person, totally dependent on what one wants out of
life as they pursue their goals. But the faith of which the man in the
White House spoke concerned religious faith.

He said that the basic truth is that we are all children of God. We are
God’s creation, but saying all are children of God is false and is
nothing but the words of a charlatan spouting his propaganda. Let’s
allow the Bible to speak the truth to expose the false words of the man
in the White House. In Romans 6:3-4 Paul wrote Know ye not, that
so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his
death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that
like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father,
even so we also should walk in newness of life. That is the
first step and that makes one a child of God. Then Paul wrote to the
believers of that day, Romans Chapter 8:9 But ye are not in the
flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.
Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Then Paul wrote in verse 16, The Spirit itself beareth witness
with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
|
|
Only those who have obeyed the gospel and who have received the in
dwelling Holy Spirit are children of God. They have humbled themselves
and confessed Jesus, being baptized into his death to be raised to walk
in newness of life. (Read all of Romans Chapter 8)

Jesus said in John 3:5-6, Verily, verily,
I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he
cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh
is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Unless
one is reborn as Jesus indicated one is not a child of God as Paul
wrote, But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be
that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit
of Christ, he is none of his. (Romans 8:9) Those not baptized
into Christ are not born of the water (immersion) or the Spirit; they do
not have the Spirit; therefore they are not children of God and do not
belong to Christ, the first born of God’s spiritual family (the church)
and body of Christ. Are those harsh words? No, it is the truth of the
Bible plainly spoken.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:15
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in
sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Just as there were the false prophets and
teachers in that day, they continue to exist in this day and age,
spouting things that are patently false. The man in the white House is a
false teacher and one of the worst. To believe him and the many others
who push the false doctrine destroys the gospel message that one must
follow the Bible teaching to be in God's family. While that may
not be popular or accepted, it is the truth.
