A well known commercial by an insurance company is “You’re in good hands with Allstate.” That is aimed at those who want protection that I will pay off, a form of financial salvation, when disaster strikes. Now the nation is being told of salvation by Barack Hussein Obama, in that he can save us from economic ruin with his financial plan of salvation. He is going to tax the “rich” to equalize prosperity by taxing (into oblivion) the oil companies, and whomever else will have the misfortune of entering his sight line.  He’ll whip those greedy folks into line, the ones trusting in uncertain riches. It is ironic that Obama trusts that by tapping the “rich” for their riches that he can save the economy. Thieves do break in and steal and he will be the thief, but since he is the “self proclaimed new messiah,” he will be doing all a favor by dispensing his brand of salvation. It is suggested that he read the Bible to learn few things.    

But, more salvation is in store for us dumb ones who drive big cars, leave carbon footprints all over the landscape and generally pollute the environment; that is according to Al Gore and his liberal followers. Salvation of the planet is on the way in the form of Nancy Pelosi, the House Queen who is related to the Senate’s King Harry Reid of “oil is making us sick and ruining the planet” fame. Having taken to heart the king’s words, the Queen is going to save the planet; and as a consequence of her new self acclaimed role, she is too busy to debate the crude oil drilling issue. It is suggested strongly that Queen Pelosi read the Bible.

Jesus said that he came to save the world, For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

(John 3:17)  The word world in the context means people or humans, not the planet or world as such. But Pelosi is going to save the planet in spite of the message in the Bible.  She is fulfilling the words in Romans 3:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.  The word creature can refer to both the earth and humans in the cone text since God created both. Who can deny that Pelosi is worshipping the earth and her own puny power to save the planet from destruction?

The earth or the planet as Pelosi grandiosely calls it is doomed for destruction. No amount of drilling bans will alter the fact that God has fire planned for this earth ball. Peter wrote in his second letter the following: Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2 Peter 3:12-13) In case anyone doubts the meaning of verses 12 and 13, the word element in verse 12 means the basics or the first-beginning as in Genesis 1:1, In the Beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Simply put, this earth is going to burn with fire. Then in verse 13, the words new earth indicate a new object, different from that which was before and coming in place of it and not yet used. Just as there will be a resurrection (eternal life) for the saved when Christ returns, there will be a new place to live, called the new earth wherein righteousness will be the order forever.

Queen Pelosi can blow and posture, prance and blather all she wants, her words are pure foolishness. As Paul wrote, Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, (Romans 1:22) Surely, Nancy Pelosi has shown again and again she is a fool. The plans for the planet are in place and they will be brought to fruition when God sends Jesus to take his own to the new heaven and earth. In Sorting It Out, Pelosi would be well served to read the Bible and find out how to be saved.
