Peril to people exists in all forms from out of control vehicles to
those who have no regard for other persons when they commit crimes or
engage in behavior that can cause harm, though the thought may not be to
cause any harm. Seldom do people give any thought to the behavior that
can imperil a nation. Yet our nation stands in peril caused by an out of
control Congress composed of liberal Democrats and spineless
Republicans. The Democrats want to diminish the President in every way
politically conceivable, and the weenie Republicans can’t figure out
where in the politically correct environment they fit. Since they can’t
stand up for the President, they are no better than the liberals and
help put the nation in peril.

Representative John Murtha roared about out of control military
personnel killing innocent civilians in Iraq before he had any facts.
Subsequent investigation revealed the truth and the fact that Murtha is
nothing more than big mouthed, small brained liberal Democrat
politician. None of what Murtha said was anywhere close to the truth.
Then Murtha voted to pull the troops from Iraq in an ill advised
House vote.

To make the whole sordid affair worse, the majority leader of the
Senate, Harry Reid said on April 19, 2007:
"I believe ... that this war is lost, and this surge is not
accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this
week," This coming from a leader of the crowd that voted to go to
war to take out Saddam Hussein and hopefully stop more attacks on us as
happened on September 11, 2001. Politician after politician
is railing against the war which so far has stopped more attacks
here, though the loony goons in Congress can’t see the connection. They
are so outraged at the president that they would rather gouge out their
own eyes than look at the truth.

There is precedent for their behavior which can be found in the Bible.
In Matthew 26:14-16 we find: Then one of the twelve, called Judas
Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, 15 said unto them, What will ye
give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him
for thirty pieces of silver. 16 And from that time he sought opportunity
to betray him. The word used here is betray and that made Judas
a traitor. The definition of traitor is a betrayer: somebody who is
disloyal or treacherous. Certainly Judas fit the definition and so
do those in Congress who are behaving the same as Murtha and Reid. They
are giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
|
|
When Reid said the war is lost he was telling the military their work is
futile. What kind of a man will so state about the men and women
protecting this nation? The man and his ilk are so full of political
hate toward the President that they don’t care what happens as long as
they pillory the President. They take umbrage if anyone even hints they
are unpatriotic, but what else can they be other than unpatriotic when
they make uncalled statements about our nation’s military and their
effort to defend us? If the shoe fits, wear it and lace it up tight boys
and girls.
|
|
The Democrats and even limp Republicans threaten to stop funding for the
troops. Is that not an act of betrayal? Is that not in effect engaging
in behavior that gives aid and comfort to the enemy as outlined in the
Constitution, Article III, Section 3?
|
|
Our nation is in a dangerous situation when hatred for a President is so
great that the military and the people are placed in jeopardy. Again,
how can that not be unpatriotic when those who hold office imperil their
nation of people, and also themselves? Those who are behaving in ways
that increase the danger to us need to be run out of office at the next
election.
In Sorting It Out, can the voters rise above partisan party politics and
cast their votes for those who will honor and defend the efforts against
the enemy and stop the traitor’s behavior?
