Religious huckstering and the use of God in such shenanigans are ages old. Simon the sorcerer practiced magic and wanted the Holy Spirit so he could practice his brand of chicanery more convincingly. The apostles saw through his ruse and refused to impart to him the ability to do miracles. Jesus spoke of the phonies that would trade on his name. Matthew recorded the words of Jesus in 24:23-24: Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Such false preaching has been going on for hundreds of years and it continues to this day as phony speakers pervert the gospel.

A prominent politician fits the bill of the huckster of a false religion and its message. Whereas the phony religious hucksters who fit the definition Jesus gave to them, and who constantly appeal for donations so that they can live in high style, the current huckster appeals for your donations through the force of government taxation. He has a lot of worshippers who follow his preaching who are willing for others to divvy up to meet his demands.

By now you have guessed the phony huckster’s identity, a devotee of Gaia which is worship of the earth. Yes, it is Al Gore whose doctrine is global warming. He can’t any more prove that the earth is warming globally than Simon the sorcerer could prove that his magic tricks weren’t phony. But he keeps trying and the gullible are buying into it. But that Mr. Gore is a first class hypocrite is being ignored by his faithful followers. 

His hypocrisy works to his advantage as does the behavior of all hypocrites. Gore is preaching a religion that can’t save anyone, including him. But that doesn’t matter since his false religion allows him to lead a high style life that actually preys on the people that he thinks need to be led like sheep to a slaughter. He touts his doctrine of carbon credits which he buys from those who don’t pollute as much as he does. It is real simple. He pays extra for the carbon his life style uses, but he neglects to say that the net decrease in carbon emissions is zero. In order to justify his is bologna he says his payments allow for research into ways to decrease carbon emissions.

 The TV preachers ask their audiences for vast amounts of money to help others (sometimes the appeal is to help fund research) and many times it only ends up paying for their Al Gore style living. Al Gore says his payments allow for research into ways to decrease carbon emissions and he wants more money for it. All the while it is taking place Al Gore continues his high living. He wants everyone else to conserve; yet he refuses to do so. That is hypocrisy of the worst kind just like the Pharisees of old. “Don’t do as I do but do as I say,” and in this instance it is because “I don’t wish to alter the way I live.”

Neither Gore nor the huckster preachers mention eternal salvation very much. Gore preaches salvation of the earth which is going to burn up one day, not from global warming but as foretold in the Bible; and the huckster preachers warn that their ministries are in danger. The pleas of each are essentially the same; give me your hard earned dollars says Al to save the planet (and my life style). Give me your dollars to keep this ministry going, (plus my house, and my cars, and whatever else I own).  The gullible ever eager to be saved contribute to the pleas and the suckers are saved.  How so? They are saved from having to worry about what to do with any extra money or about thieves breaking in to steal it.

Gore preaches a false message that Paul in Romans chapter one verse 25 addresses: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.  Gore can’t see he has stumbled over the very truth he ignores.

The world is full of phonies and none is any phonier than Al Gore and his global warming foolishness. In Sorting It Out, it’s time for the people to tune out Gore and open the Bible. That’s where they will learn of the real salvation from God.
