The homosexual lobby and supporters are a vocal and violent group of people. They use all types of methods, including violence, to silence those who oppose their sin. An Oklahoma legislator, Rep. Sally Kern, R-Oklahoma City, life has been threatened, not to mention the other vitriolic messages and harassing phone calls she has received for speaking out against homosexual conduct. Those who oppose the behavior are called various names, including homophobe, but in reality, it is the homosexuals who fear the truth. That is the reason that they are trying to silence her. Confront them with truth and they attack like rabid dogs. Unlike rabid dogs, which can’t help themselves, the homosexuals can choose to change their behavior since they chose to engage in degenerate behavior.

In Genesis 13:13 we learn of the ungodly nature of the men of Sodom 13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. There can be no doubt the reference is to the wicked and sinful practices of all kinds of ungodly sexual behavior with what follows in Chapter 19:5-15. That begins a description of the conduct of the wicked men of Sodom, and what they desired to do to the other men.

Homosexuals try to explain verse five (And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.) in various ways, but the Hebrew word is male or a man as opposed to daughters in verse 8, females or women. The word wife in verse 15 is opposite of the word for male.  Those engaging in sin go through all types of mental contortions in an attempt to make their practices acceptable.

God made it clear to the Jews that homosexual conduct is an abomination Leviticus 18:22, Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.  The penalty for such conduct was death (Leviticus 20:13) because it was wicked and still is in this day in spite of words to the contrary. The proponents of sexual deviancy should be thankful that the death penalty isn’t the remedy for their conduct as it was under the Old Testament Law.

Politicians are pandering to the homosexual lobby for nothing more than votes. Such conduct is called selling oneself to the devil. It is as Jesus said, For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?  (Luke 9:25) It is bad enough that politicians pander to and excuse homosexual conduct, but there are sympathetic church members who welcome them with open arms with no teaching that they must repent and change their ways. Loving someone using the biblical definition is one thing, but open acceptance of sinful conduct is quite another for any church, no matter the name on the sign board. Paul told Timothy to withdraw from the corrupt amongst them and refrain from the other ungodly behavior perverse people teach and practice. (I Timothy 6:3-5)

Considering the fact that true love is expressed by Paul in I Corinthians 6:9-11:   Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11  And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. Had Paul not warned them of their behavior, he would not have shown them the love of Christ, which he said he possessed. God’s love does have requirements if one is to stay in his grace and favor, and God’s true love points out the fatal nature of sin. Part of faith is believing the teaching that if one deliberately returns to the old behavior, salvation will be lost.  (See II Peter 2:1-22)

God’s Word is true and the lady in Oklahoma spoke the truth about the homosexuals and their behavior. They need to do as James said, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)  In Sorting It Out, they thereby can end practicing Sodom and Gomorrah.
