PRINCESS AND
THE CHIPMUNK
Good morning
to my lovely friends
As we wake up
to another day,
It's time for
me to get prettied
Up and get
ready for some play.
After my
morning bath and eating
Food to get my
energy going high,
I nap right
after to build up the
Steam to run
and play and sigh.
I jump up onto
the window sills
And oh what
fun it is to look out,
The view is
perfect, so critters
You better be
up and about!
But this
morning was special as
To my
surprise up popped something new,
I saw a friend
I could not resist -
A beautiful
Chipmunk: "How do you do!"
He chattered
and scampered carrying
A nut in his
mouth as if to say,
"Come on out
and join me Princess
And we can
climb trees and play.
But it ended
up we chattered to one another
My heart was
pounding so.......
From window to
window to follow him
While my love
for him began to grow.
Each morning I
sit in the windows and watch
For my friend
who is cute and frisky,
His antics on
the branches sure can become
The day of
challenges and quite frisky.
So here I am
all relaxed again which calls
For the time
to take my mid- morning sleep,
When I awake I
sure will go looking for
My friend in
the window his friendship I'll keep.
Thank you for
my friend and playmate God
I could never
get myself into a funk,
I'm Blessed by
playing peek-a boo with -
