PROTECTION FOR WHAT?

On this site in the Bible Section are two articles titled Such Were Some of You, Part I and Part II.  In the Sorting It Out Section is another refuting two letters in the Voices Section of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette which condone and support homosexual relationships. This article is the fourth one on the subject which will cover it from another perspective.

Those who want homosexual marriage have caused such an uprising against the idea that amendments to state constitutions and the U.S. Constitution are wanted in order to protect marriage. First, the respective constitutions aren’t about controlling morals. They are about limiting government and protecting God given rights. Secondly, it isn’t marriage that needs protection. It will always be viable and right since it is God given. Instead, it is the morals of the nation that need protection and only a God believing, moral people can return a moral climate to the land.

When morals decline the nation declines. We see daily the gross perversion on TV, in the movies, and in publications. Books are allowed in school libraries that at one time were considered smut, but now they are said to be an important enhancement to a child’s educational experience. Do children need to experience homosexuality, beastiality, and other forms of perversion to enhance their lives? All but the depraved  and the perverts will answer with a resounding no.

In Arkansas it is now the law that homosexuals can be foster parents because they are capable of giving a child a loving home. That is nothing but judicial nonsense which came about because the ACLU filed a lawsuit to bring it about. When a people lose sight of sin, the consequent and inevitable immoral behavior is the natural result.

The oh so enlightened ignore the Bible and its contents. When they use it, they twist and distort the message in pursuit of their love of perversion. Paul said in Ephesians Chapter 5:22-33 at the end of the discourse in which he spoke to the marriage union: [Eph 5:33] Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.  There is the blueprint of a loving home for the nurture of children, whether natural, adopted, or foster.

Then Paul wrote in Ephesians to both the children and the fathers: [Eph 6:1] Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. [Eph 6:2] Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) [Eph 6:3] That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. [Eph 6:4] And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. How can children obey in a Godly way those who are homosexuals? And it is the responsibility of the fathers to teach the children the way of God since he is the physical and spiritual head of the family. How can homosexuals teach children and bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord? No matter what the homosexuals and their supporters say, the answer is they can’t. Those engaging in sinful conduct can’t lead anyone in the ways of God.

The future of the nation lies in the hands of the young who one day will be the leaders in government and the churches of the land. The founders addressed that very fact in as follows: We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. Notice the word posterity. Those are the unborn which the founders knew would one day lead the nation; in fact, everyone who was born after those words were written were the posterity, just as all of us are now the posterity so mentioned now enjoying the blessings of God. Why do people wish to change what has given us an environment for great living?

If the young aren’t taught in the ways of righteousness, then the future of the nation won’t be good and the nation we know now will disappear in the sleaze of immorality. Suffice it to say that marriage doesn’t need protection from anything. It is the national fabric of morality that is failing and being torn asunder by the ungodly. In Sorting It Out, a return to God will solve the problems. His righteousness always lights the way and he is our protection from the practitioners of immorality.
