RATS!!
When humans cease to be
Hunters in the big fields of land,
They buy a farm and meet up
With rats, isn't this grand?
Farmers learn how to grow
And store lots of golden grain,
And the rats come along to see
How much they gather and gain.
They learned of the farmer's dwellings
A
place to hide and keep dry,
With walls to run between and fun
When it is time to see the apple pie.
But the farmer did see me and he
Gave me a big boisterous: "Howdy."
He
saw a special rat and my rare breed
Is
a beautiful multi-colored Agouti.
I
am tan, black and white and quite
A
friendly creature for I am quiet,
I
play around the grain and I'm very
Careful of my special rat diet!
One day the farmer came and quickly
Picked me up from the grounds,
We
became super good buddies and
We
found this life had love which abounds.
Clutching a little grain between my toes
I
suddenly saw the farmer's cats,
Now my happiness is scorned to say
RATS!!!
