Hillary Clinton’s book, IT TAKES A VILLAGE, basically promotes
the idea that a whole community is responsible for raising a child. A
government program aimed at the nation’s public schools, the No Child
Left Behind Act, fits with the theme of her book. She promotes
community involvement as part of the upbringing of a child and the
reading act inserts government centralized control on the schools,
effectively diminishing the role of parents in the up bringing of their
children. (Read Rebecca Hagelin’s article
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=57493 for
NCLB.) However, this article will take a different tack on what
is happening, and the ultimate consequences if such ideas as the NCLB
and Hillary’s notions aren’t stopped.

One common link between Hillary’s socialist agenda ideas and the NCLB
act is centralized control and planning, the hallmark of the
socialist/communist ideology. Another link is that both remove the
influence of home and family from the upbringing of the children. The
first steps to ending parental influence, and an integral part of the
removal, were the many unconstitutional court rulings that removed the
Bible and God from the public schools. That opened the door to the
government instituting its own religion dedicated to total control. Hillary is on
record as saying that needed change is best done from within the system
rather than using radical attempts to change society. Her ideas are like
termites that eat from within and destroy the structure slowly; the
destruction isn’t noticed until the building is horribly ruined.

In
Ephesians 6:1 Paul wrote: 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the
Lord: for this is right . The instruction is given to children
of Christian parents who presumably are worthy of being respected and
obeyed as God has ordained, but the principle therein is applicable to
all children. They should honor their parents based on the established
standards of right and wrong which come from God. Just because parents
aren’t Christians doesn’t relieve the child of behaving properly or the
parents from being moral and honorable persons for that matter.
|
|
Then in verse 4 we find Paul’s additional instruction: And, ye
fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the
nurture and admonition of the Lord. Parents are being told not
do those things which would bring resentment to the point of rebellion.
Children will resent restraint and discipline at times, but the rules of
the house should follow instructions that are godly using good sense in
the process. Further, the parents are to nurture which includes
religious training, education, godly instruction, and discipline. Surely
that nurturing includes an interest in what the children are being
taught in the public schools.

|
Parents who wish to rear their children properly are appalled and angry
because some school officials are requiring students to read filthy
books in the name of diverse literature and social understanding. They
call it a well rounded education and resent any attempt to be held
accountable by the parents. Government programs and the bureaucratic
demands in the laws for education are effectively supplanting parents as
the leaders of their children.

The founders of the nation knew the value of teaching the foundation of
the nation. In the early years, students were well grounded in the
Bible, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution. They
recognized that an understanding of our heritage was essential for the
continuation of the republic. However, over the years that foundation
has been and is being eroded daily by the forces of diversity and
humanism as government has become the be all and end all of the human
experience, in effect becoming the new god.

William J. Murray, president of the Religious Freedom Coalition said,
"If we do surrender and accept that government is the new god and that
the legislators and judges are the new high priests, it is not just
America that will lose that first and most precious right of freedom of
religion, it will be all of humanity." He furthers said, "Religious
freedom was important to the founders, because they did indeed believe
it was the first liberty, and without it, no freedom, no liberty could
exist at all,"

In
order to change the shape of the nation, the proponents of government
control know that they can’t succeed in their agenda if God and godly
parents stand in the way. Violence won’t be tolerated by the people, but
as Hillary Clinton said, [We] need to compromise to achieve political
and social progress. A little here, a little there, working within
the system and soon her brand of political and social progress will be
reality. The NCLB act and her village agenda will ruin the children, and
thus the nation will be in ruins because the people will believe more
and more that they must turn to the government to solve their problems.
The ideology began in the 1930s and now it has infected the public
schools, if not all of the national life. In Sorting It Out, remember
that nations which indoctrinate children ensure the future
ruin of their freedom and liberty and the consequent ruin of the once
viable countries. It is a
historical reality. Don't let it happen here.
